Festival and event specialists Red Rum Touring has roped in NOTION for a gig in New Zealand this September as part of his forthcoming Australia and New Zealand tour. The UK dance music great NOTION will be taking charge of the Darby Street Station in Auckland on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 10 PM onwards, with support coming from Cheff, YÜTHE, Danni, and Kovacs. With his return to New Zealand, NOTION is bringing his Dance Dub project to Auckland. It includes live edits and exclusive unreleased tracks (on SoundCloud and Bandcamp) – a perfect recipe for a heated dancefloor. The Bristol-based DJ/producer has made revelers put their hands in the air at major music festivals, including Creamfields, Outlook, and Glastonbury, as well as in-demand venues where audiences have grooved to his music. NOTION’s music, which amalgamates elements from garage, drum & bass, house, breaks, bassline, and more, has earned him fans from far and wide. Now, he is getting ready to bring the heat to Auckland’s Darby Street Station this month.
NOTION’s forthcoming Australia & New Zealand tour kicks off on September 6 in Melbourne with stops in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, and Christchurch before his show in Auckland on September 20. The final gig of this leg of the tour will be in Dunedin.
Darby Street Station is also set to host Cheff and YÜTHE as supporting acts. “Can’t wait to get back behind the rig at @darbystreetstation this time supporting @notion_dj” wrote Cheff on Instagram, expressing his excitement for supporting NOTION at his Auckland show.
Auckland-based DJ Danni and Kovacs complete the stunning line-up. “How GOOD is this! So excited to have had the call up to jump on support for the one and only @notion_dj ?” shared UKG, 140, house, and dubstep DJ Danni on Instagram. “His tracks have been staple in my sets since I started djing so this is a dream come true!! The support lineup is STACKED as well you won’t want to miss this.”
