Female DJ Collectives You Need to Tune Into

Following up on our previous exploration of sibling pairings in electronic dance music, we present a list of five boundary-pushing female collectives whose music and journey we suggest you pay close attention to.

Malakita

Hailing from Costa Rica, this female DJ duo consists of sisters who reign supreme when it comes to transmitting indie dance, deep house, melodic house, and tropical house vibrations. The pair have become regular names at festivals on home soil, including Ocaso, Envision, Labryinto, and The BPM Festival. Overseas, Malakita have ticked off venues in Mexico, Portugal, Germany, and the US, and have seen their name plastered alongside the likes of &Me, CamelPhat, Lee Burridge and Dixon in their career thus far.

Cruz and Fields

Monica Cruz and Amanda Fields are a producer-MC duo who have certainly added credibility to their home city, Amsterdam, as one of the hotspots for electronic dance music. As a dynamic duo, their house sets are energized with sounds from their Dutch and Brazilian heritage.

Playing and producing together since 2019, Cruz and Fields have routinely featured at different nightclubs across the Netherlands as well as in haunts in Portugal and Brazil. Most recently, they made their sixth appearance at the two-day music and sports fiesta, Dodgeball Beach Cup, in Wenningfeld and were also seen causing a healthy ruckus at Paradiso Amsterdam – an indoor mini festival.

Their SoundCloud bio states that you can “expect a pulse that connects people always with a personal touch of Cruz and Fields.”

Girls On Watch

New on the Kiwi electronic dance music scene but seasoned behind the turntables is Girls On Watch, a free-spirited DJ collective comprised of DJs/producers ZOZO, CLAAAUDB, and Milan. Together, they link their unique styles to create an electrifying sound that promises to captivate audiences and alter the nightlife experience.

The talented trio made their first appearance at New Zealand festival mainstay Pixie Lane’s DISCO RALLY VOL 2 showcase, rattling the dancefloor at Neck Of The Woods. For the moment, their only scheduled performance is at the tenth anniversary of the Hidden Valley festival in December 2025; however, they are well en route to making more appearances until then.

REMIXIA

Producers Emilia Boateng and Rebecca Adomakoh, who excel in the Afro house, Afro tech, amapiano, and deep house genres as REMIXIA, are without a doubt a shoo-in to occupy slots at main stages at music festivals worldwide soon. Born in Ghana and bred in London, their charisma behind the deck has led them to be billed alongside industry heavyweights such as Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, Major League DJz, DJ Maphorisa, and Honey Dijon.

Find them at their best via their mixes on SoundCloud, their fiery performance on the Ghana-based not-for-profit independent internet radio station Oroko, as well as their hour-long session on Radio 1001.

Avity

Formed in 2023, the Ukrainian DJ duo AVITY is known for their soothing melodic techno, house, and progressive sounds, while also garnering a massive number of views for their DJ sets hosted from unique corners of the globe. Their sessions from the iconic Golden Bridge in Vietnam, Skywalk Biokovo park in Croatia, and Canyon Mascarat Bridge in Spain are some of their most popular, boasting over 100K views each.

Away from the serene setting and into the studio, Avity has released two EPs and a slew of singles. Their debut EP, ‘Through the Time‘ (2023), reached number 15 on the Top 100 Progressive House charts. Most recently, in August 2025, Avity dropped their freshest cut, ‘9s,’ a throbbing electro beat draped with melodic techno influences.
