His newly released ten-track album plucks its title from a voice note recorded on the streets of Berlin by the ever-attentive multi-platinum producer, overhearing two strangers discussing life and its purpose. That exchange of ideas concluded with the simple yet meaningful outlook centered around doing things to make people happy.
AVAION threads this perspective across fifteen tracks, stirring sound frequencies that stimulate relaxation, healing, and happiness, while also creatively shaping a foundation designed to lift a listener’s spirits.
‘WAY YOU SMILE’ fronts the track list, glistening with euphoric energy, airy vocal lines, and a sparkling dance-pop rhythm. It’s followed by earlier releases, including the electro-pop groove ‘COLORS,’ Afro-house banger ‘WACUKA‘ (feat. Sofiya Nzau), liquid UKG-infused ‘NEED ME,’ and the atmospheric textures of ‘SLOWLY’ (with RANI).
New tracks highlight AVAION’s versatility and genre fluidity, deliciously mashed with a futuristic sound design. ‘STRANGERS’ glides on light piano undertones, ‘PRAY FOR ME’ bursts with high-energy pulses and a rapid breakbeat sequence, while ‘BERLIN’ takes on bleeping minimal techno threads. Album closer ‘BEGINNINGS’ courses through a delicate, key-driven deep house journey layered with the artist’s spoken word, delivering a calming finale.
‘TO MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY’ channels the reflections and experiences from AVAION’s two sold-out headlining tours across Europe, performed in his signature 360° live show format. Every cheer, roar, stomp and reaction from these crowds found its way onto the album, with the genre-bending artist crediting them as “co-composers of the album’s DNA.” The album’s artwork, showing AVAION’s console swarmed by fans in full frenzy, perfectly reflects this sentiment.
Next up, AVAION embarks on a two-month, multi-city European tour in support of this release.
