TeeBee To Takeover Piranha Bar in Montreal

Norwegian drum and bass powerhouse TeeBee crashes into Montreal, Canada, for Drum & Bass Collider and The Session’s approaching showcase on November 22! In a tidy call-back artist booking from almost twenty years ago, Corey Kloda’s The Session swoops up DJ/producer Torgeir Byrknes, best known as TeeBee, for what is sure to be an unforgettable evening at Piranha Bar (sous-sol/basement) Montreal, in tandem with DnB collider. Corey Kloda, who performs under the moniker Crimewave, had first locked in TeeBee for a gig in 2007 after TeeBee and Calyx had just released their first collaborative album ‘Anatomy.’ Corey Kloda disclosed in a social media post that a by-chance encounter at LOCUS Tulum 2024 (owing to his Subtitles Music T-shirt) led to a warm interaction between the two just before TeeBee’s session at the festival, this meeting sowed the seeds and paved the way for this impending concert.

Corey further disclosed in that same post, “We’ve kept in touch, and after hearing all his new material at Locus this year (plus a few, as-yet-to-be-released gems) I knew it was time. Time to come back. I’m so happy I still get to be involved in this scene and bring something I truly love to you all. Can’t wait to see you there.”

No floor-reshaping DnB affair is complete without a strong force in support, and this line brags some of the best local talent Montreal has to offer. Neurofunk selector STLKR, Crimewave, dubstep/tech-house custodian Alexandre Dupont aka Gnucky, graphic designer/DJ Benoit Castonguay – under the alias Korfus, drum & bass act Goblinz (Seb Lander), and Corinne Lacombe – who thrives as Cormort, all make the bill for the evening.

Visual artist and A/V whiz Line Katcho maps out the visual themes at the venue. The show kicks off from 10 PM onwards, with the set timings yet to be unveiled.
