UK’s Dom Whiting, the world-famous and widely appreciated DJ On The Bike, has announced his pedaling endeavor will touch down in Australia for three massive shows this February.
Armed with a portable deck and an immaculate arsenal of drum & bass concoctions, Dom Whiting is en route to expand his infectious energy onto the streets of Adelaide on Saturday, February 22. This mobile DnB party will be followed by two more shows to complete Whiting’s Drum & Bass On The Bike Weekender in Australia.
For the last three years, Adelaide has been craving a DnB on a bike session, and finally, all the pieces and arrangements have slipped into place. Supported by the local government body, the City of Charles Sturt, Drum & Bass On The Bike will run rampant through the streets of Bowden and Brompton from 3 PM onwards. The starting point for Dom’s second appearance on Aussie territory will be disclosed to ticket purchasers closer to the date of the mobile rave.
Dom Whiting is also locked in for two more shows over that weekend, headlining a concert at live events space Hindley Street Music, followed by a performance at Lion Arts Factory, Adelaide, on February 23, 2025.
About this announcement, the artist communicated to his fans via his newsletter, stating, “Australia, I am coming to one of your most asked for cities over the last 3 years for an amazing drum & bass on the bike weekender. I can’t wait to get this underway, kicking off the year in true Aussie style!!”
A project that started in his bedroom and quickly rolled out onto the streets in the UK post the lockdown, Whiting has been raving across the UK and Europe with his bicycle and accompanying cyclists and DnB fanatics. His custom-built three-wheeled bicycle, personalized to conduct cycling as well as DJing, harbors a power pack generator, decks, speakers, many cables, and an internet source.
In his career thus far, he has steered traveling parties in Spain, Germany, Barcelona, Switzerland, Ireland, Belgium, The Netherlands, and all over the United Kingdom. He made his Australia debut in Darwin on May 4, 2024.
