Suhasini and TZEJAX Dish Out Spooky New Single, ‘Werewolves’

Delhi-based singer/songwriter Suhasini and music producer TZEJAX marked the Halloween season with an intriguing horror-pop offering, ‘Werewolves.’

Spotlighting themes of mental health, ‘Werewolves’ serves as a metaphor for anxiety, fear, worry, and apprehension, steering listeners on a musical voyage of terror to confront one’s demons. The menacing tune unfolds to hauntingly melodic chimes, coupled with sleek production that upholds its frightening dark pop and melancholic theme while also lashing out a hard-rock guitar riff. Suhasini produces a sonically entrancing vocal display, throwing in a few howls as well.

Underlining the lyrics, Suhasini says, “My favorite line is probably ‘Don’t you trust me? They whisper because anxieties make you doubt yourself, and suddenly you don’t know who you are.” While music producer Tzejax notes, “We in India are not big on Halloween celebrations yet, so this is our way of celebrating it.”

‘Werewolves’ is accompanied by an equally menacing music video filmed on an iPhone 14, switching between a vintage black and white film reel and a modern camera lens.
