New Delhi-based electronica act Alboe signals the arrival of his upcoming album ‘Enroute 24,’ emitting first a santoor-riddled house composition in ‘Sahi.’
“‘Sahi’ was an attempt to capture the beauty of the santoor on top of an organic house kick and bass,” expressed Alboe in a press statement.
Hindustani classical-trained vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Vedant Chandra, who releases music under the alias of Alboe, feeds listeners wholesome scoops of indie house music, pickled with experimental and fusion relays churning out, as the moniker suggests – A Little Bit Of Everything.
A listening session of his music catalog will disclose entrancing soundscapes, coursing through productions that imbibe classical Indian sounds with Western influences. This possibility of blending classical elements with various forms of music was seeded in Vedant during his tenure at The Doon School in Dehradun.
His latest project ‘Sahi’ chimes in with tantalizing flickers of the classical string instrument santoor, melodically blending in pulsating bass throbbings to concoct a furnished organic house offering. This dance track, which would suit the ambiance of any EDM festival, also possesses a patch of Hindi-worded lyrics with a creative wordplay “Tera Mera Pyaar / Teda Meda Sansar…Sahi Hai,” alluding to “Our Love In an Imperfect World… It’s Alright.”
Currently streaming on all audio platforms, ‘Sahi’ was released on September 13, 2024, on the heels of Alboe being announced for the Takar Stage at the upcoming Ziro Festival in Arunachal Pradesh. Here, Alboe will debut a live session of his entire album.
