Creative collective Milkman is set to take over Famous Studios in Mumbai after a whopping five-year break, pairing up with music aficionados at Bonobo Bandra to launch Groove X Festival.
Hailed as “an intimate, boutique celebration of music,” the first edition of Groove X is slated to take place on December 7, 2024, at the iconic warehouse Famous Studios in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai. This hip-tossing and floor-shaking showcase methodically integrates the finest international and local electronic acts, spewing out boatloads of techno, acid, industrial, electro, dub, jungle, bass, electro, and baile funk.
Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Job Veerman, best known as Identified Patient, sits atop the card winged by Sao Paulo’s DJ RHR and Prague-based producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Prokop Korb aka badfocus. He slots in at Groove X alongside creative force ATM BENNY (Benjamin Balzar), who arrives on the back of releasing his 16-track album ‘PRESSURE‘ in November of this year, and the appearance also marks the artist’s first time in India.
Underground dance music staple DJ Madhav Shorey, thriving under the moniker Kohra, also features on the bill for the evening. To get a taste of what Kohra brings to the table, check out the versatile DJ/producer’s impeccable session at Boiler Room in Bengaluru held earlier this year.
Unofficially Mumbai’s most trusted man behind the deck, Nate08 rounds out the line-up, along with Milkman’s DJs and super selectors Jai + Adi.
Gates open at 4 PM with Jai + Adi flagging off proceedings, followed by badfocus (ft. ATM BENNY), Nate08, Kohra, RHR, and Identified Patient. Happy hours for beverages are on offer from 4 PM to 5 PM, and the venue will also host a variety of food stalls at this dance event.
