A Little Sound has rapidly emerged as one of the most exciting new stars from the UK’s dance music scene. Over the past couple of years, she’s released music on Ninja Tune, Def Jam and Ministry of Sound, and collaborated with heavyweights including Hedex, Rudimental and more recently with Bru-C & Songer on ‘Is What It Is.’ Among her achievements are the 2023 BBC Radio 1 Future Star Award, two awards at the 2024 National D&B Awards (including Best Vocalist), and being named BBC Radio 1’s Future Artist Of The Month for August 2024.
She first made a name for herself through collaborations with drum & bass legends like Friction and Kanine, plus a hectic touring schedule performing at countless festivals worldwide. Since signing with Ministry of Sound, she’s dropped her own critically acclaimed and BBC Radio 1 playlisted singles: ‘Back To Back (B2B),’ ‘Escape The Lights‘ with Disrupta, and ‘Situation‘ with the iconic Sugababes.
A Little Sound had a monumental summer in 2024, performing at 25+ festivals, including much-talked-about performances at BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Luton, Arcadia Glastonbury and the brand new Chevron stage at Reading & Leeds. Last autumn, she featured on the Listen Out tour, the biggest festival run across Australia & New Zealand. She also completed a sold-out debut UK headline tour across five cities, with her London date at Omeara selling out in under 24 hours.
Now, A Little Sound is back with her new single, ‘Area Code,’ singing about the bittersweet strain of unresolved feelings. Featuring legendary drum & bass producer S.P.Y and rising stars CMD/CTRL, the track mixes A Little Sound’s enchanting vocals with a powerful drop, making it a perfect fit for both clubs and the airwaves.
“‘S.P.Y & CMD/CTRL hit me up to see if I wanted to be a part of this wicked track. I was quick to say yes as I have been a HUGE fan of S.P.Y’s work since joining the scene and really look up to him. Amber Van Day and Toby Scott had already worked on providing an instrumental/topline for the track and it was already a solid idea, but I was later able to add my touch and I think it resulted in a super special song,” A Little Sound said about the creation of ‘Area Code.’
In late 2024, she hosted the BBC Radio 1 DJ Residency for September and sold out her debut 5-date UK headline tour and she has just launched her biggest headline London show to date, A LOTTA NOISE, at The Colour Factory on April 5.
Standing just 5 feet 2 inches tall, she possesses towering ambition, becoming a superstar in the drum & bass scene with her captivating vocal hooks and electrifying DJ performances.
