Make way for Cheer Up Charlies in Austin, Texas, on June 14 and 15 for Babestock’s forthcoming showcase, developed to empower women and gender-expansive artists. Continuing to wave the banner for women, non-binary, trans, genderqueer, genderfluid, and gender non-conforming artists is America’s first and only electronic music festival Babestock, an impending two-day showcase from the ‘Bad Ass Bitches Elevating Austin, Texas’ or BABE ATX. Tickets to Babestock Festival 2025 are available via Ticket Fairy.

Shrugging off male-dominated line-ups, this festival is tailored by women and gender-expansive folks for women, gender-expansive ravers, and their supporters, and is also backed by the City of Austin Office of Arts, Culture, Music, and Entertainment.

At this setup, you’ll discover a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere charged with stand-out performances, sensational visuals, femme and queer vendors, and exuberant food and beverage items coupled with a line-up that boasts over 30 artists crammed between the indoor, outdoor and main stages. Attendees can immerse themselves in a soundscape somewhere between rhythms of techno, deep house, progressive house, indie dance, bass, breaks, UKG, dubstep, drum & bass, and more!

Babestock Music Festival 2025

Festival regulars and BABE ATX forerunners Hip Stir and Golebahar are penciled in to unleash their mastery onstage, along with Austin-based talents Lindzeetron, BabiDoll, DJ Ladybug, Hexpartner, and EMSKI. Producers Bunny G, Baby Kush, srgtpep, HELADA, Coco Prosecco, BabiDoll, Black Daria, J Nikolé, Kayristin, nomi, JENNY VOSS, BYZARRA, DJ Lóa, JUSTAGURL, Riva + Bianca, and CHEETAH, to name a few, also drift onto the card.

An annual feature with Babestock is their DJ contest, from which the winner earns a slot to play at the festival. This year, that honor goes to Emily Arceneaux, who hails from South Louisiana and thrives under the moniker Stemmily. Stemmily’s musical approach is rooted in her training on instruments such as the drums, piano, and guitar. The electronic artist launched a career as a producer in 2023, releasing her debut single titled ‘Incantation,’ and followed it up with a dnb/halftime offering in ‘Temptation.’

We checked in with Stemmily ahead of Babestock 2025 to gather her thoughts on the festival!

TFword: What does it mean for you to be playing at Babestock, and what are your thoughts on this music festival?
Stemmily: Being selected to perform at Babestock 2025 is an immense honor. Sharing the lineup with some of my favorite underground artists from across the country is both humbling and exhilarating. Babestock’s commitment to uplifting women and gender-expansive artists in the electronic music scene is truly inspiring. I’m thrilled to be part of a festival that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and the transformative power of music.

TFword: What can attendees look forward to from your upcoming set at the festival? Are there any artists you are looking forward to seeing perform?
Stemmily: I’m excited to play some unreleased tracks from my upcoming EP, along with fresh remixes and selections from artists I admire. I love blending my friends’ songs with my own to create a set that’s both personal and community-driven. The energy and diversity of the Babestock lineup are incredible, and I’m especially looking forward to nomi’s performance. I’ve been a fan of their work for a while, particularly how they incorporate saxophone into their tracks, but I’ve never seen them live before.

TFword: Any concluding words ahead of your impending visit to Babestock?
Stemmily: I’m incredibly grateful to the Babestock organizers and the BABE ATX collective for creating such an empowering and inclusive space for women and gender-expansive artists. I am extremely thankful they are giving me the chance to travel from New Orleans to Austin to share my music.
