‘Stewpid’ Brings the Chaos as Steve Aoki and Gabry Ponte Reunite

Just over a year after dropping their amped-up take on Klaus Badelt’s iconic Pirates of the Caribbean theme, ‘He’s a Pirate (Save Me),’ Steve Aoki and Gabry Ponte link up once again for a high-voltage follow-up with their new single.

Released via Dutch independent record label Armada Music, the duo fires up a full-throttle party-starter, blending decades of EDM influences into one chaotic, pulse-pounding anthem with ‘Stewpid.’

The nearly three-minute banger delivers a spine-jolting beat, layered with glittery vocals, smooth breakbeats, and a swirling four-on-the-floor rhythm. Contributions from songwriter Nick Ribbens and musician Luna Morgenstern further enrich its club-ready textures.

In a press release, Aoki and Ponte shared their excitement about the collaboration. “Gabry and I always have a blast together,” said Steve Aoki. “Last year’s collab lit up dancefloors, and when our paths crossed again, we knew we had to run it back. Stewpid is pure fun, high-energy chaos.”

For Gabry Ponte, the track brought back strong memories of a peak summer moment. “That sunny, euphoric energy instantly brought me back to the night Steve and I shared the stage at Praja in Gallipoli. Letting loose, soaking up the crowd’s energy, and feeling dance music in its purest form.” Ponte recalled. “I’m stoked for the release of my new collab with Steve! Working with him last year was an absolute blast. We poured our hearts into this new track, and I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be lit!”
