Produced by DJ Mag, this short documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at Charlotte de Witte’s full day at Tomorrowland Belgium 2025, where the Belgian techno producer performed two sets in a single day.

A seasoned performer at the iconic music festival, Charlotte de Witte opens the film by sharing her motivation, “I want to tell my story, I want to show what techno is, why it means so much to me.”

The film begins with the artist preparing for her opening set while reflecting on the accidental fire that damaged the mainstage this year. She recalls the community’s rapid response, calling it “heartwarming” to see everyone unite to rebuild and reimagine the Orbit Stage. “It will be a very unique edition, a very special edition, and I am here to take you with me,” she added.

Later, in her hotel room, the techno icon offers a glimpse into how she crafts her sets. During the ensuing car ride with live agent Nick Cave, they discuss her relentless touring schedule and her approach to playing both the opening and closing set at Tomorrowland – each designed with a distinct energy and emotion arc in mind.

After a few camera shots among the mainstage rubble, CDW officially kicks off the festival, only to be met by fans singing her a surprise “Happy Birthday,” although her birthday actually falls on July 21. Post this session comes some quick media duties, a spa break and a brief rest before de Witte returns for round two, the closing set.

As the clock approaches 1 AM, the producer is visibly drained yet deeply fulfilled, celebrating the moment backstage with her team. Speaking to the camera, she reflects, “I’m super happy with everything. I brought techno, I brought what I love- the music I love so much. I gave you my all.” The film closes with intimate footage from her birthday celebration, a fitting end to a whirlwind journey filled with music, resilience and heart.
