Armin van Buuren Signals ASOT Debut in Vietnam From Atop a Moving Bus

Cranking up the buzz for A State of Trance festival’s arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, founder Armin van Buuren caught fans off guard with a performance in Vietnam.

Cobbled together by Collective Minds Asia in tandem with live entertainment specialists LIVESCAPE and Ravolution Asia, A State of Trance (ASOT) heads to Southeast Asia as part of its twenty-fifth-anniversary celebrations this June.

Rolling into Vietnam for the first time, ASOT will radiate from Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City on June 13, 2026, with pre-registrations now live via the official website. Fans can look forward to a full-blown arena production with an over-the-top lineup, capped with a rare, once-in-a-lifetime F2F performance crafted for this moment.

Revelries lined up for the upcoming Rotterdam edition (February 27-28) in the Netherlands haul in the likes of Sarah De Warren, Ferry Costen, Cosmic Gate, Hannah Laing, Korolova, Laura van Dam, and Sean Tyas, among others. Trance cornerstone Armin van Buuren is locked in for a mammoth five-hour set and B3B slot alongside Oliver Heldens and Maddix, and also closes out day one with a face-to-face session opposite Colombian DJ/producer Funk Tribu.

Given the caliber of artists confirmed for the Netherlands, fans in Vietnam can gear up for a line-up stacked with serious heavy hitters. Armin van Buuren personally touched down in the country to hype up ASOT’s Asia return.

His visit was highlighted by a surprise DJ set staged on the upper deck of a moving bus, teasing fans of what was to come and sending waves of ravers into a late-night frenzy across Ho Chi Minh City. Event graphics covered the vehicle, turning every street it passed, including the iconic Saigon Bridge, into a promotion for the upcoming anniversary show.

Reflecting on the mobile performance, Armin van Buuren expressed on social media, “This was definitely not on my 2026 bingo card. Loved it though and can’t wait to be back in June.”

He also expressed gratitude for the warm reception, posting, “It’s good to be back, Vietnam. Little surprise visit to celebrate our comeback with A State of Trance, thank you for welcoming me with so much love. See you again in June.”

A State of Trance hits Hong Kong on June 12 at AsiaWorld-Expo, before making its Vietnam debut on June 13.
