Zian B – ‘Still Standing’ EP

Jazz cornerstone Zian B warmly welcomes you in for a refreshing take on her empowering productions through her newly released three-track EP titled ‘Still Standing.’ On this record, Zian and her backing crew, keyboardist Aditya Ahir and Tizaan Alphonso, present piano-led acoustic renditions of the songs ‘Uncertain‘ and ‘Ace of Spades,’ allowing her powerful vocals and profound lyrics to take center stage.

“Still Standing is about stripping everything back—sonically and emotionally,” shared Zian via a press note. “These songs have always been very personal, and presenting them in such a raw form felt like the most honest way to tell their story. It’s about survival, healing, and finding a sense of grounding after uncertainty.”

Zian’s November 2025 music release, ‘Falling,’ marked by somber piano patterns and her pristine vocals paired with a gospel-inspired flavor, also slots in and serves as a captivating touch that closes the EP.

No Neighbours Around – ‘Creator’

Strutting ahead from their blues-rock venture ‘Country Man’ is Bengaluru-based rock band No Neighbours Around, who leveled up their sound with a thrash metal-inspired single. On ‘Creator,’ they strap a double bass pedal into the fold and fire up a superheated metal performance from the get-go.

‘Creator’ finds the trio dabbling in a hard-hitting metal sound drawn from raging 80s metal bands, wrapped in sleek 2010s rock motifs. Electric guitars roar and collide with ferocious drums on this track, driving home a song about “self-doubt and inner conflict.”

Guitarist and backing vocalist Vignesh Siva voiced in a press statement, “This song is a journey on the acceptance that not everything is in your control, and we should all just let go.”

Tasha Keswani – ‘Hello Stranger Hello’

Singer-songwriter Tasha Keswani returned with her new single ‘Hello Stranger Hello,’ a bitter-sweet folk-pop/country ballad. Spanning three minutes, it serves as a reflection of “the often unspoken reality of how people we once knew deeply can slowly become people we…” as the lyrics go, “used to know.”

This outing sees Tasha tussle with life’s many transitions, including a past relationship, and submit a radiant, feel-good yet poignant soundscape accentuated by her bright vocals carrying heartfelt, powerful lyrics over a carpet of strummy acoustic guitar and rolling percussion.

Tasha conveyed via email that this song “aims to capture that quintessential nostalgic feeling of recalling happy memories and feeling the pain of it at the same time.”

Champak – ‘Feed The Clown’

Four-piece bedroom pop/alternative pop outfit Champak, comprised of seasoned musicians from multiple cities in India, converge to launch their first single called ‘Feed the Clown.’ It unfurls with a rather witty gibberish vocal intro and gradually shuffles toward a stellar synth-infused dreamy concoction that dives into the monotony of the working week.

Tidy bass plucks, steady percussion, snazzy rhythm guitar, and a hooky chorus fuel the single, while the audible gargling and spluttering-like sound pressed into the music create a frenzy of sonics, reflecting the chaos of a day-to-day hustle and grind.

‘Feed the Clown’ from Champak kicks off a series of new singles, leading up to their debut album ‘A1‘ set to drop later this year.

Sarah Brindell – ‘Raise Your Voice’

Trotting away from the bossa nova sound heard on ‘My Little Blue,’ Boston-based musician and music professor Sarah Brindell presents a somber singer-songwriter composition rooted in sisterhood. Her latest project, ‘Raise Your Voice,’ centers on a call for unity, transformation, and mustering courage to speak against injustice.

On this outing, Sarah and her talented ensemble deliver an uplifting melody sculpted from bright acoustic guitar, breezy piano patterns, and picky bass action. Angelic vocal harmonies and her powerful singing carry the song’s profound lyrics with passion and a spark of intensity.

Sarah expressed in a press release, “I wanted to write a song about not being quiet. About raising women’s voices in the face of indifference and injustice.” Via social media, she further called the release, “A song for all the sisters of the world,” adding, “It’s for you, it’s about speaking up to make a difference, to advocate for yourself or others that you love.”

SOLARIS – ‘Smile’

SOLARIS are back with their second single, ‘Smile,’ which is built with a dreary opening sequence and guttural vocals from guest singer Aniruddh Maitra. The post-rock duo dispatches some ferocious djent energy on this one, with picky electric guitar riffs crashing against drum pedals firing on all cylinders.

According to the band, “‘Smile’ is about navigating a massive internal struggle—perhaps trauma, existential dread, or a major life transition—and trying to find beauty in the damage left behind.”
