Designed to soundtrack every stage of a club set, the Italian duo make their second appearance on Cloonee’s Hellbent Records with a three-track EP crafted with the dancefloor firmly in mind.
Italian pairing ItaloBros return to Cloonee’s Hellbent Records with their first standalone release for the imprint, ‘Excuse Me,’ following their introduction on the inaugural ‘Hotter Than Hell‘ various artists compilation in 2023. Marking a new chapter in their relationship with Cloonee’s label, the three-track EP sees the duo deliver a set of tunes that highlight both their versatility and instincts for creating tracks that feel natural for the dancefloor.
Traversing through multiple shades of house music while keeping groove at the forefront, the three-track release showcases the pair’s ability to merge timeless influences with contemporary club elements. Drawing inspiration from disco, house and techno, ItaloBros have crafted an EP that feels equally suited to intimate underground spaces and larger festival stages, delivering infectious rhythms, crisp production and memorable hooks across each cut.
The title track, ‘Excuse Me,’ opens proceedings with infectious momentum, pairing skippy percussion and elastic basslines with a slick vocal hook that immediately locks listeners into its rolling groove. Built around subtle tension and constant movement, the track strikes a balance between understated funk and peak-time energy, making it the perfect secret weapon for DJs.
‘Suerte‘ follows next with a more dramatic flavor to the package by leaning into bold piano stabs, commanding vocal chants and razor-sharp hi-hats that steadily intensify throughout its playtime. Rounding off the EP is ‘Bajo,’ which offers a more stripped-back experience by allowing the rolling drums and vibrant guitar riffs to take center stage. The closing track provides a warm, groove-led finale, showcasing the duo’s ability to create compelling dancefloor moments with a minimalist approach.
Hailing from Scalea in southern Italy, ItaloBros have steadily carved out a reputation for crafting groove-laden house music that effortlessly bridges classic influences and modern club culture. Their productions draw on a broad musical palette, incorporating elements of disco, tech house and techno into a distinctive sound that has earned recognition from some of the scene’s biggest tastemakers such as Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers and Loco Dice.
Beyond the studio, the duo continues to build momentum on the global circuit with performances at iconic venues including Amnesia and Ushuaïa in Ibiza, alongside appearances at Italy’s renowned Il Muretto, reinforcing their status as one of the country’s most exciting emerging house acts.
