A veteran and a true innovator of dance music, German DJ and producer Marc Romboy’s boundary-pushing approach and decades’ worth of experience made him an important figure of the scene. Having founded several labels and released countless recordings since the early ’90s, Marc Romboy has delivered some of the most influential tunes as a producer and through the imprints he has been in charge of.

Delivering music on both the underground and the mainstream ends of dance music, Marc Romboy has released several chart-topping tunes alongside seven long players that reflect a wide array of influences, not least Chicago house and ’80s new wave, but classical and jazz as well.

Continuing another phenomenal year in 2023, Marc Romboy is now out with his trademark aesthetics for a remix of Tokyo Fan Club’s ‘Circles.’ A collaborative project from Luke Brancaccio, Gai Barone and vocalist Kiki Cave, Tokyo Fan Club released their critically acclaimed debut album ‘We Live Electric’ on Bedrock Records. Tasked with reworking his magic on the original, Bedrock Records welcomes back label mainstay Marc Romboy to remix one of the album’s standout offerings.

Rounding out Part 1, Circles is presented as a blissful slice of electro-pop with warming vocals and a flurry of high twinkling synths. Guiding the cut into darker, electronic waters, the acclaimed Romboy deploys a gritty and distorted bassline for his edit, creating a sense of dichotomy against the bright synth elements and soothing vocal chops.

An invaluable figure in electronic music’s continued progression, Marc Romboy’s output has always featured a unique blend of influences, stretching from techno all the way through to neo-classical. Experience is everything, and Marc absorbs the energy from his lifelong dedication to producing records that are both highly authentic and equally timeless.
