Kenn Colt Reimagines a Dream House Classic

Weeks after twisting in Afro-house rhythms in ‘Vuva‘ with singer Mavhungu and playing with Latin house on ‘Solo X Ti,’ Kenn Colt offers up ‘In My Dreams (Children),’ officially carved from late Italian composer Robert Miles’ hit single.

It feels like no coincidence and almost fitting that a dream house track, which spent five weeks atop the singles chart in Belgium in 1996, takes on a new life via Belgian DJ/producer Kenn Colt.

Released on his label, Feels Like Home Records, Colt teams with Dutchman and former agency colleague Funk D to pay tribute to Robert Miles and rewire his 1995 masterpiece, ‘Children.’ The duo swirls its unforgettable piano-laced melody with driving basslines, slick bass thumps, and soaring synths to conjure a club-ready banger.

Colt’s impressive tech-house and dance-pop production, enhanced by electro-hues and breezy vocal samples, certainly gives a fresh lease of life to one of Billboard’s list of ‘The 100 Best Dance Songs of All Time‘ (2025).

“This track captures the nostalgia we all feel but delivers it with energy that moves crowds,” shared Kenn Colt in a press statement. “Reconnecting with Funk D in Asia felt like fate, and we channeled that into every layer of this release.”

Kenn Colt further revealed via social media that ‘In My Dreams (Children)’ received support from duo Plastik Funk, ‘Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit’ fame Fedde Le Grand, Queen of Defected Records Sam Divine, and dance-pop act liquidfive.
