Flagbearers of India’s indie rock scene, Big City Spiral, is set to storm G5A’s Black Box arena with an arsenal of indie staples and hard-hitting rock anthems on October 26, 2025. This latest edition follows a high-voltage night at The Finch in Powai with Arrows, Signal W, and a returning The Koniac Net. Tickets to Big City Spiral Vol 3 are available on Ticket Fairy.

The line-up boasts a bold mix of indie-rock, punk/alternative rock, and melodic avant-garde/experimental music brought to life by CONTRA & Friends, Runt, and Serpents of Pakhangba.
Runt, fronted by vocalist, composer, and producer Siddharth Basrur, hits the stage fresh off a run of new singles (‘Racecar‘ and ‘Like Jello, Only Stickier’) and a new recruit to the band, bassist Deep RK. Attendees will likely get a sneak peek at a few unreleased works as Runt’s debut full-length album is just around the corner.
Basrur is also no stranger to the artist-driven Big City Spiral circuit. He hosted the second edition of the circuit’s Listening Lounge Session, where he shared stories behind his favorite records with an intimate group of vinyl enthusiasts.
As soon as that first electric guitar riff from their 2024 single ‘Rain‘ rips through the sound system, it sets the tone for the hard-hitting, high-octane performance CONTRA brings to the table. Led by indie royalty Manas Jha and guitarist-songwriter Dean (aka Nikhil Bhosle), CONTRA plugs in a stellar crew of musicians for this edition.
CONTRA & Friends is stacked, bringing the heat with rockstar drummer Aniket Waghmode and songwriter-guitarist Chirag Todi. Past variations of this setup featured a rotating cast from the who’s who of the rock scene in India, with the likes of Sid Coutto, Tanmay Bahulekar, Shawn Pereira, and Teemeer joining in. Whether any surprise guests hit the stage is anyone’s guess.
Tie together mythology, Asian mysticism, and shamanic art layered with experimental folk-metal, throat singing, operatic vocals, and tribal chants, and you’ve got the essence of Serpents of Pakhangba. Led by guitarist/founder Vishal J. Singh and joined by singer Hinoki, violinist Tamara Mayela, bassist Joy Chanda, and drummer Varun Sood, Serpents of Pakhangba blurs genre lines with a sound that is meditative, ritualistic, and fierce.
Movement artist and classical dancer Nidhi Dongre has also been announced as a guest collaborator with Serpents of Pakhangba to set up a truly unique show that folds art metal with experimental dance.
