Looking beyond the year’s biggest hits and festival anthems from DnB royalty, there exists a treasure trove of gems that deserve some serious attention.
Below is a curated list of a dozen tracks, one from each month from January to December, that we recommend you check out, whether you’re a die-hard fan or a casual raver.
JANUARY: Arcatype – ‘Snow Days / Split The Harp’
London/Oslo-based electronic trio Arcatype kicked off 2025 with a banging two-tracker, ‘Snow Days / Split The Harp.’ The two tracks complement each other effortlessly, each one upping the other with a sound system rattling blend of drum & bass, liquid funk, and rich atmospheric textures.
Released via UK label Computer Integrated Audio, this set saw the group reconnect with the label for the first time since their 2018 four-track EP titled ‘Narrative.’ One-third of the collective, Justin, broke down ‘Snow Days’ online, explaining, “The original idea was based on just using loads of nice ambient loops that we got from sampling ambient tracks, then also our own pads. Layering them all together and getting a nice little vibe down, so that’s what we did first.”

FEBRUARY: Fade Black – ‘Lazarus’
After returning from a brief hiatus toward the tail end of 2024, UK DnB pair Fade Black, comprised of producers Andy Khavand and Nicholas Hunter, launched their comeback single, ‘Lazarus.’ Issued through UK label Neksus Sound, the track uncoils with a grand, spectacle-like intro sequence before surging forward with marauding rhythms, growling wobbles, and a coarse DnB pulse.

MARCH: DSP – ‘Voices’
UK-based DJ/producer DSP crafts sonic sculptures that sit at the crossroads of jungle, liquid, and both the darker and lighter hues of DnB. His four-track 2025 EP ‘Box Of Frogs‘ showcases his production style from deep jungle roots to intense rollers and comes across like a love letter to his influences. A standout offering is ‘Voices,’ which layers polished vocal samples over clanging stretches of wobbles, bass-driven surges, and tightly coiled drum patterns that hit with precision.

APRIL: gyrofield – ‘Akin’
Ingrained with a wide range of influences from Hong Kong, Bristol, and Utrecht, DJ/producer Kiana Li, aka gyrofield, boasts an eclectic discography that spans DnB, glitchy electro, and breaks-infused synth pop soundtracks. While not an out-and-out drum & bass theme, ‘Akin’ from gyrofield’s ‘Akin/Mother’ collection navigates electro hues, wavy synths, uplifting tones, and DnB elements, setting the stage for the turbocharged tech-riddled follow-up ‘Mother.’
Speaking about the project on social media, gyrofield posted, “‘Akin’ & ‘Mother’ remind me of my earliest days writing dance music. Two free-spirited, transportive pieces that feel like spreading wings and letting the winds take me. Brought skyward in the hand of fate, nurturing yet weathered by my very own ideals. We all wish for better days. And toil to heal.”

MAY: Katalyst -‘Tell Me’ (ft. Order & Chaos)
Pinned to London-based jungle and DnB imprint Jungle Cakes is DJ/producer Katalyst’s (Kate Walker) three-track EP called ‘We Wanna Know,’ featuring collaborations with dynamic DJ duo Order and Chaos and ragga vocals from emcee Mad Sam. One of the standouts is the nearly five-minute belter ‘Tell Me.’ The track roars with fierce intensity, throwing down punchy wub-wubs, vibrating bass thumps, and crisp percussive coatings.

JUNE: Dub Ten – ‘Backstabbed’
Rapidly rising Austrian producer Dub Ten marked his debut on Bristol-based independent drum & bass label Yamatai Records with his EP ‘Backstabbed.’ Comprised of four tracks, the record puts Dub Ten’s creative range on full display, shifting from bleak, ominous moments to full-throttle adrenaline-fueled peaks.
The scorching title track never lets up and, as the label suggests, “was designed for clubs in mind.” It certainly fits that blueprint and shoots out a jolt of high-powered DnB built for the dancefloor.

JULY: Survey & Amoss – ‘Liters’
Bridging drum & bass styles across nations, Bristol-based producer Amoss joined forces with Berlin duo Survey on ‘Liters,’ their first collaboration since 2020’s ‘Loose Change.’ Released on Flexout Audio, ‘Liters’ sees Amoss bringing his signature forward-thinking dark, minimal approach, and Survey adds their rugged, underground edge into the fold.
‘Liters’ served as an appetizer to Survey’s EP ‘Breather‘ and is carved with unrelenting pace, moody yet ferocious sub-bass currents and a raw intensity.

AUGUST: Gabriella Bongo – ‘Lights Out’ (ft. Shayla Marie)
Starting off production at just nine years old and taking cues from DnB heavyweights such as Hybrid Minds, Rudimental, and Chase & Status, South London DJ/producer Gabriella Bongo has quickly positioned herself as one of the most promising acts in the genre.
Signed to the mighty Hospital Records, Gabriella etched her third release on the label with ‘Lights Out,’ a soul-flavored DnB cut. It features the vocal mastery of Shayla Marie and lands as an absolute whopper. Woven with a honeyed topline, smooth liquid DnB shifts, and rapid drum strikes, ‘Lights Out’ adds a significant amount of weight to Gabriella’s bio, which reads, “flying the flag for the next generation of drum & bass artists.”
Since its release, the track has racked up over 11K streams on Spotify, with the official video exceeding 4K views.

SEPTEMBER: Numatix – ‘Heavy Salad’
Hailing from Brighton, DnB producer Numatix is known for crafting a sound that’s “bouncy, bassy, and dripping in funk.” His single ‘Heavy Salad’ shows exactly why that description fits, as it is laced with eerie fragments, piercing synths, beefy kicks, and throbbing percussion, all driven by a steamy bass line. It is also seasoned with a vocal snippet courtesy of Unglued.

OCTOBER: BRIGSY – ‘Hands Up’
A recognized figure in the Kiwi electronic circuit, Maxwell Brighouse, who thrives as BRIGSY, has clearly hit all the right notes with his debut release on Rene LaVice’s DeVice Recordings. True to the label’s ethos of spotlighting primetime and peaktime anthems, BRIGSY left no stone unturned, cooking up an all-action high-voltage soundscape that pulls no punches.
On ‘Hands Up,’ the DnB fanatic fires off a frantic fury from the get-go, opening with a brooding, cinematic intro that quickly spirals into a frenzied drum & bass assault. Relentless drums hit hard and steady, driving the momentum forward, while sharp synths tear through the mix, adding flashes of chaos that keep the intensity high from start to finish.

NOVEMBER: Motus x MELADYNE- ‘Alone’
For November, we turn to a cross-country collaboration between vocalist/producer MELADYNE in the US and Montreal-based musician Motus. Together they sprang out ‘Alone,’ a lethal liquid DnB score that’s bound to get heads nodding and feet moving nonstop.
‘Alone’ opens with a grim, bleak intro of plucky strings and a somber run of keys before zipping into an onslaught of DnB-laced atmospheric textures, speedy bass kicks, and melodic flourishes. The composition bursts to life under MELADYNE’s skillful production, while Motus elevates it with a soothing, emotive topline.

DECEMBER: Sidekick – ‘Survive’
Hailing from Australia’s drum & bass capital of Perth, producer Sidekick concludes our list with his booming cut titled ‘Survive.’ An effervescent escape for the ears, it eases through a sequence of dulcet vocals planted on cymbal flicks before swooping into a synth-laden jump up storm.
A few bassy wobbles and groovy drops come in, and you’ll find Sidekick steering you toward a festival-ready wave, furnished with catchy vocals and a spirited vibe. Sidekick described the release as “an homage to old school Culture Shock and Dimension,” and it is penciled in to appear on Aussie label onesevenfour’s Annual 2026 album.
