Shapeshifter is making its way back to Beach Break Whangamata on January 5, 2024! Enjoy the summer vibes during the day and an ultimate entertainment showdown at night featuring Australian psychedelic-surf rock legends Ocean Alley, Dutch-New Zealand trio My Baby, as well as rising stars Masaya and Flaxxies at Williamson Park from 2 PM onwards. Beach Break Whangamata is excited to bring another year of fun and festivities on January 5 for an awesome way to enter the year’s first weekend. You wouldn’t want to miss out on the curated line-up of artists performing at the show, including Christchurch-based live drum & bass band Shapeshifter. With a career spanning over 12 years, the five-piece outfit has been celebrated for their genre-defying sets at Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Big Day Out Parklife and more. They will be joined by
Australian psychedelic-surf rock artist Ocean Alley, who will appear at Beach Break as part of their AUS/NZ Tour.

Get ready to party hard to music that will move your body and raise your heartbeats at Williamson Park, Whangamata, for Beach Break. The amazing plot of green grassy land on a slope will have several pop-up shops selling festival clothes and even mouthwatering food stalls; however, alcohol will not be sold as a ban is in place around Williamson Park for the show.
