Legendary hip-hop duo The Beatnuts step on Aussie shores after over a decade this August, with five shows in the pipeline. Tickets to The Beatnuts’ shows in Australia are available on The Ticket Fairy.

Tied together by hip-hop advocates Launch Australia and tour agency Good Friday Entertainment, old-school hip-hop takes flight with The Beatnuts gracing venues across Australia after a span of twelve years. New York-based group The Beatnuts, consisting of emcees JuJu and Psycho Les, were last seen in the land down under alongside the likes of DJ Premier, rapper/record producer Masta Ace, and hip-hop act Ed O.G.

After an extensive stint in Europe, the ‘Se Acabo’ and ‘Off the Books’ architects carry their brand of East Coast/Latin hip-hop and rap to cities of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth on this Australia tour.

Patched in for the gig at The Back Room in Brisbane (August 8) are notable hip-hop collective Boondock Bunji and trio Cone Headz, along with rappers Mesc, Dwizofoz, and Jazz. The Underground UTS in Sydney (August 9) ropes in DXVNDRE, Lee Monro, 2.L.O.C.O. IN CRIME, DJ Skae, Myagi, Suttle N Risbyraps and DJ Slim.

Nuffsaid Records’ Dedlee will be seen on support duties at Laundry Bar in Melbourne (August 10), flanked by duo Jake & The Fatman, Shynin Armour, Grizzly Bastard, and Kmodo with Cadet X. Meanwhile, Adelaide‘s Zhivago Nightclub is set to host Delta & Staen1, Sonz of Serpent, Tommy Terror, Lowzee, Collateral Damage and Tommy Marsh on August 15.

Formed in the late 80s, The Beatnuts are known to wreak havoc and produce high-energy concerts whenever they visit. The pair received commercial success with their second album ‘Stone Crazy’ (1997), which possessed well-received singles ‘Do You Believe,’ ‘Off the Books’ and ‘Here’s a Drink.’ Galloping toward its twentieth anniversary, 2004’s ‘Milk Me’ was the last studio album produced by the duo; however, they had hinted at a new EP in the works. The Beatnuts witnessed a strong resurgence after re-releasing a remixed version of ‘Se Acabo,’ featuring Method Man in 2022, and embarking on their Golden Era Tour.
