New Year’s Eve at Papaya Playa Project kicks into high gear, concluding the year on an exquisite note while also embracing all the goodness that 2025 has to offer. Attendees to this year-end showcase will be greeted with a specially concocted welcome drink and ensuing live performances. Before the climatic countdown to 2025, a blissful atmosphere weaves in with music emitting from supporting acts, followed by sessions from multifaceted DJ and producer HoneyLuv, genre-bending house producer Goldcap, and The Wizard himself – Damian Lazarus.
Founder of Day Zero Festival, Damian Lazarus, is known to thrive at setups within jungles, beaches, deserts, mountains, and archeological and heritage sites. His sets zig-zag across show tunes, drum & bass, jazz, electro, soul, house, and techno. DJ/producer Berge Sahakian aka Goldcap fires up the deck with eclectic sounds from the Middle East, indie dance, Afro-House, and a medley of lively electro sonics.
Taylor Character, best known as HoneyLuv, rounds the artist card for the evening, a year out from being the cover star of DJ Mags’ December 2023 digital issue. Chatting with media outlet NYLON earlier this year, HoneyLuv characterized her DJ sets, saying, “My sets are always going to be deep, groovy, and soulful. It’s always going to be underground street vibes. That’s what you can expect when you come to a HoneyLuv show.”
Doors open from 7 PM onwards for this New Year’s Eve extravaganza matched with culinary delights and artsy cocktails. Specially devised are multiple offerings that include a vibrant dance session, live performances, welcome beverages, dinner service (via preparations from a guest chef), and immersive art experiences.
