Ever since their explosive arrival on the scene in 2003, Australian drum & bass outfit Pendulum have reshaped the genre in their own way. From their debut underground anthem ‘Vault’ to their recent high-octane collaborations with acts like Bullet For My Valentine, the band has consistently pushed boundaries while staying at the forefront of electronic and rock-infused drum & bass.
After years of sporadic activity and anticipation from fans worldwide, Pendulum has officially reignited their momentum, bringing their trademark energy back to the forefront. This renewed wave of creativity has culminated in what fans have been waiting over a decade for: a brand-new full-length album, their first since 2010’s ‘Immersion.’ The upcoming record, titled ‘Inertia,’ produced by frontman Rob Swire and longtime collaborator Owen Charles, was crafted in Pendulum’s London studio and is being hailed as the band’s most personal and sonically diverse project to date.
To be released via Mushroom Music on August 22, the record marks their most introspective work to date, crafted by frontman Rob Swire and Owen Charles at Pendulum’s London studio. Packed with star-studded features, the album includes collaborations with Bullet For My Valentine, Wargasm, AWOLNATION, Scarlxrd, Joey Valance & Brae, and Hybrid Minds, blending Pendulum’s seismic production with raw, genre-defying performances.
Ahead of the release, the band has unleashed the lead single, ‘Save The Cat,’ a screamo-tinged anthem born from personal turmoil. As described in a recent statement, the track emerged from the wreckage of two devastating breakups: one a slow unraveling, the other a sudden collapse.
