Touching base with his fans in India once again, Dutch DJ and record producer Armin van Buuren teams up with UK R&B icon Craig David to revamp director-composer Anurag Saikia’s ‘Ishq Hai.’
Composed by Saikia, ’Ishq Hai’ features on the soundtrack of Netflix India’s hit series “Mismatched Season 3.” The Hindi love song has amassed over 300 million streams across audio platforms since its release in 2024, including more than 185 million on Spotify alone.
To this well-received score, Armin van Buuren bridges cultures and injects his signature roaring, high-energy pulse paired with Craig David’s smooth pop/R&B vocals. The producer elevates the track with fresh vigor and hard-hitting trance motifs, while maintaining the folk-inspired theme.
The reimagined ‘Ishq Hai (This Is Love)’ hauls in fresh intensity, morphing from an intimate love ballad to a thumping genre-swinging dancefloor magnet, charged with English vocals and amped-up momentum.

Two-time Grammy nominee Craig David echoed the sentiment, “The first time I heard ‘Ishq Hai,’ I loved the vibe straight away. Working with Armin on the track was a really special experience. I had a great time adding my verse and being part of a version that opens the song up to even more people worldwide,”

’Ishq Hai (This is Love)’ also arrived just days after ‘Commitment (Pt. 4).’ This Afro-pop single saw Craig David further deepen his connection with India, collaborating with Bangalore-based singer-songwriter Mary Ann Alexander and Nigerian singer-producer Tiwa Savage.
