Tiësto Teams up With Hometown Football Club for New All Black Kit

Grammy Award-winning electronic music legend Tiësto has provided the perfect assist to show his love for NAC Breda by co-designing the club’s brand new third kit.

Grammy Award-winning electronic music legend Tiësto has provided the perfect assist to show his love for NAC Breda by co-designing the club’s brand new third kit.

“When I was 8 years old, my dream was to be a football player, and I went to watch my hometown team NAC Breda as much as I could,” Tiësto shared recently on social media post, reflecting on his earliest memories with the Dutch club.

Though he never made it onto the pitch as a footballer, fast forward a few decades, and the dance music trailblazer is now part of the club’s history. Tijs Michiel Verwes, aka Tiësto, crafted their “blackout” jersey alongside Breda-based designers Myrthe Koppelaar and Hugo de Graaf (also a multi-genre DJ).

This special jersey ties into the 50th anniversary of “Avondje NAC,” (NAC Evening/Night) a term fans use to describe the unique night time match setting in Breda during the winter months of October, November, and December. All proceeds from the shirt sales will go to the Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Breda (Breda Youth Fund for Sports and Culture).

Tiësto marched onto the field at Rat Verlegh Stadion wearing the new design before NAC Breda’s home game against FC Groningen on October 3, 2025 and even conducted the coin toss ahead of the kick-off.

This away kit premiered days ahead of the release of his new tune ‘RVN,’ tailor-made with the legacy and culture of the club in mind and set to drop on October 10, 2025. It features an embedded chip that provides access to the track’s world premier via a smart phone.

“I was always a big supporter of NAC. I went to the matches since I was eight years old. It’s a really big honor to design something together with NAC,” Tiësto commented in a promo video. Talking about the inspiration and design, he shared,” I wanted to make an all black shirt because you know I work in the nightlife. It’s also a link to the core supporters of NAC that go everywhere. They wear a lot of black too. You can wear it at the game. You can wear it at night. So its a multi-functional shirt.”
