ZHU, the stage name of Steven Zhu, is a DJ/producer, singer/songwriter, instrumentalist, and filmmaker who will display his musical skills at one of Singapore’s most renowned nightclubs, Zouk, next week. With four albums under his belt, he has built a strong fanbase and knows how to make partygoers move their bodies to his music. Last month, he dropped a 21-track record titled ‘GRACE,’ featuring collaborations with Los Angeles-based duo Emotional Oranges, Sabrina Claudio, singer-songwriter Banks, The Bloody Beetroots, and more.
The San Francisco-born artist has collected millions of plays on music streaming platforms. ‘GENERATIONWHY,’ a debut album from ZHU, stood atop the Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart, making its way to the Billboard 200. ‘Cocaine Model,’ ‘In The Morning,’ ‘Good Life,’ and ‘Faded’ are among his popular tracks on Spotify. ‘Faded’ has surpassed 323 million streams on the platform, and the tune earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2015. He has also graced the Lollapalooza stage – one of the most popular music festivals on the planet.
