Auckland’s newest duo Made You Look puts forth their myriad questions about life in sophomore single, ‘Fade Away.’
Drummer-producer Shelton Woolright and vocalist-producer Alex Thompson share yet another glimpse of their musical feats under the moniker, Made You Look. This time with ‘Fade Away,’ the single taps into Alex’s observations of living in West Auckland, painting the vicissitude nature of one’s life and taking a step back to halt the daily grind and living day-by-day.
“‘Fade Away’ was written on New Year’s Day, 2022. It is a track written from the perspective of those feeling disillusioned with life, checking out of the world and accepting a lifestyle of minimal care,” stated Made You Look. To match the solemn message of the track, the duo rides the single over poignant percussive beats and weaves it with nifty electric guitar work.
The new single comes following their debut single, ‘Lonely Party,’ which took on an upbeat path in comparison to ‘Fade Away.’
