AURORA

“And I was running far away. Would I run off the world someday? Nobody knows; nobody knows. And I was dancing in the rain, I felt alive and I can’t complain.”

The stunning voice behind these lyrics from her viral song ‘Runaway’ (2015), Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora Aksnes, who performs under AURORA, drops into Lollapalooza India on day two. AURORA darts to Mumbai as part of her ongoing What Happened To The Earth? tour and is set to deliver a dreamy and wistful display cobbled together through her evocative Nordic folk, electropop, folk, dark synth, and art pop productions.

AURORA wrote ‘Runaway’ at the age of eleven and recently re-released the song in February 2025, enhanced with an angelic orchestral soundscape. Commemorating ten years of ‘Runaway,’ AURORA posted to social media, “The song that changed my life. It was so amazing to spend time revisiting memories with the original Runaway team to create something special for you. It really showed me how much has changed since then in the best way possible. I am so grateful for all of you, my warriors and weirdos, and your kindness, love, and ability to make art feel new for so long.”

Dhanji

India’s rap/hip-hop scene has expanded by leaps and bounds over the last two decades, with artists charting from different regions, conveying their diverse cultures, upbringings, and rap techniques into the mix. One such underground artist is Ahmedabad-based wordsmith Dhanji, who is known for his energetic stage presence, charisma on the mic, and untamed lyrics. Dhanji darts to Lollapalooza on the back of his latest single release, ‘KHATLA PAR,’ featuring longtime collaborator Rasla, seemingly a follow-up to his Drive-In Cinema mixtape from 2020.

Speaking about visiting smaller cities during his Bargaam Tour and how his music does not appeal to a mainstream audience, Dhaji conveyed, “I feel that is very in line with my grind. I’m from a tier-two backward city that is still not as poppin’. So the big part of going to all these cities is because I relate, I understand, and I’m trying to talk the same sh*t. Maybe the language is different, maybe the medium is different, and maybe the music is something you might not like, but the hustle and the grind are the same.”
