On the back of the success of his previous singles, including ‘Feel The Same,’ KDYN has earned a debut spin on several radio channels, proving his momentum and recognition are rapidly building.
Following a string of momentum-building releases, South London’s genre-defying DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist KDYN returns with his new single, ‘Feel This Way,’ a captivating preview of his upcoming EP, ‘Finding Promise In New Frontiers & Wonders,’ out on June 20.
‘Feel This Way’ finds KDYN in peak form, merging lush gospel harmonies, funk-infused rhythms, and crisp electronic textures into a track that’s both emotionally rich and irresistibly danceable. It showcases his talent for weaving heartfelt storytelling through a sound that blurs the lines between soulful house, electronic pop, and live instrumentation, a clear evolution in his sonic journey.
“This EP sits somewhere between the electronic world and live musicianship — it’s textured, soulful, and built on real instruments, but with the energy and precision of electronic production. It’s my first real attempt at fusing pop with funk, soul, gospel — all while keeping the creative direction sharp and artist-led. Most of these tracks were made two, even three years ago — but I knew they needed the right moment to be heard. This feels like just the beginning,” said KDYN about his latest single.
‘Finding Promise In New Frontiers & Wonders’ is entirely self-produced, mixed, and mastered from KDYN’s home studio. It embodies his ambition to push genre boundaries while anchoring every track in deep emotional resonance.
The new single follows a wave of recent success. KDYN’s previous release, ‘Feel The Same,’ earned him a debut spin on BBC Radio 1’s Rave-Up with Arielle Free, playlisting on Capital Dance, and placements on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Dance (#3) and Fresh Finds (#47). He’s also garnered consistent support from BBC tastemakers, including Jaguar, Sian Eleri, Jess Iszatt, and Abbie McCarthy; appeared on a DJ AG x Defected live stream; and was named ‘Ascending Artist’ by Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1.
Rooted in a deep love of UK garage and soul, and influenced by innovators like Kaytranada, Cleo Sol, Little Simz, and SAULT, KDYN’s sound sits at the crossroads of classic musicianship and forward-thinking production. Fans of Barry Can’t Swim, Fred Again.., Tom Misch, House Gospel Choir, and early Mura Masa will find themselves right at home.
With ‘Feel This Way’ setting the tone and a boundary-pushing EP on the way, KDYN is fast becoming a standout voice in the UK’s ever-evolving electronic scene.
