JP Candela to Stop By Tulum on May 11

Vagalume’s acclaimed weekend-closing Sundaze fiesta hauls in Madrid-born and Ibiza-based electronic artist JP Candela to spice up the evening on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Noted for laying out a soundscape supplied with flurries of afro house, melodic house, indie dance, and melodic techno, the DJ/producer takes charge of the recurring Sundaze sessions at the bohemian wellness beach club and restaurant Vagalume, Tulum, in Mexico. A Sundaze party seeks to deliver a top-notch alternative for those looking to close the week on a high. Known to be “eclectic, dynamic, and full of groove,” JP Candela certainly seems to be the appropriate catalyst to loom over this approach.

Production-wise, JP Candela is a student of techno of the late ’80s, house from the ’90s, and the progressive house of the 2000s. In his career, the artist has remixed a vast variety of artists, such as David Guetta (‘Bang My Head‘ and ‘Turn Me On’), Olive (‘You’re Not Alone‘), and Kid Cudi (‘Memories’), and made appearances at major venues and festivals the world over.

JP Candela arrives in Tulum, Mexico, on the heels of six shows in Madrid and releasing four well-received tracks in ‘Atacama,’ ‘Thar,’ ‘Right Now,’ and ‘Musica.’

As always, Vagalume Tulum’s resident DJ Negrinm is on hand to warm up the dance floor with his flavorful blends of afro house, indie dance, and melodic house music. At Vagalume, Negrinm has previously anchored alongside acts such as Sébastien Léger, D’WITCHES, Mathame, Doctor Dru, and Maxi Meraki, to mention a few.
