‘In My Arms’ by Anfisa Letyago Reimagines Reality With Stunning Music Video

Siberia-born and Naples-based techno producer Anfisa Letyago has followed up her acclaimed four-track EP ‘Bubbledance‘ with a brand new single.

‘In My Arms’ is a smooth continuation of the EP’s dreamlike energy, packed with liminal textures and futuristic elements. It is stacked on Letyago’s record label NSDA (pronounced “Nisida,” named after the volcanic islet in Italy).

Plucking a page from her mentor Carl Cox’s playbook, the track summons a powerful sense of euphoria with its hypnotic production cut with minimalistic pulsations and deep basslines. In addition to the steadily surging waves of techno and genre-bending electro lashings, Anfisa spoons catchy vocal patches onto the mix.

‘In My Arms’ is accompanied by a breathtaking visual presentation that explores the fluidity of perception and identity. It is patched together by Supernova Studios’ innovative approach to artificial intelligence and exhibits Anfisa in a reimagined dystopian-like landscape.

Muddying the boundaries between dreams and reality, the video unfolds across regularly shifting landscapes, likely influenced by sci-fi tropes, to great cinematic effect. Anfisa, in a dreamlike state, is depicted hovering past crashing skyscrapers, exploding subway cars, gravity-less rooms, and some kind of central hive mind technology. These scenes are evocative of Christopher Nolan’s 2010 film Inception, and using AI, it plunges visual storytelling into new domains.
