The ‘Peaches’ hitmaker Justin Bieber led the pack with eight nominations at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards.
He was nominated for awards including the “Best Artist,” “Best Pop,” “Best Video” for “Peaches,” “Best Collaboration” with The Kid LAROI, and “Biggest Fans.” The artist also competed against himself in the “Best Song” category where was nominated for both “Peaches” AND “STAY.”
Hosted by the ‘Icy Girl’ rapper Saweetie, this year the European Music Awards were held at the László Papp Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary. This marks the first time that the country hosted the awards show.
The second-most nominated artists this year are the ‘Say So’ star Doja Cat and ‘MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)’ rapper Lil Nas X who each received six nominations. Obviously, Olivia Rodrigo is in the mix! The ‘good 4 u’ singer tied with The Kid LAROI and global superstar Ed Sheeran with five nominations each at the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards and as always MTV has left it up to the fans to decide which artists will be taking home an MTV EMA today!
Ed Sheeran took home big wins as his song ‘Bad Habits’ earned him the awards for ‘Best Artist’ and ‘Best Song’ while Lil Nas X, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Maluma and Saweetie herself also enjoyed the taste of victory during the electrifying MTV Europe Music Awards.
It was the South Korean septet BTS who had the best night over all. They won a total of four wins in categories including ‘Best Pop’, ‘Best K-Pop’, ‘Best Group’ and ‘Biggest Fans’.
