Touted as a ‘Hallo-versary,’ Blackout Agency seeks to weave a night of epic proportions as they mark nine years of championing stellar nightlife events and spotlighting local talent. The UK’s house, techno, and disco heavyweight Harry Agius, aka Midland, heads onto Singapore as part of a run of shows that include stops in Tokyo, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Midland makes his debut in Vietnam and Hong Kong on this trip.
Shaping up at the iconic amusement park Haw Par Villa from 9 PM onwards, the rest of the card features staples from the EDM scene such as DJs Shigeki, Meraki Soul, Amber, and Emma. House meets techno artists Amber Ha and Emma Sarria-Solis are slated to open up proceedings with a b2b set from mates Shigeki and Meraki Soul to follow. Japan-born and Singapore-bred Shigeki Ito mentioned being “super excited” to perform at the show. His sets wheeze out a grand melange of soulful house, deep house, classic disco, and nu-disco.
Hyping the party, Australian DJ and producer Meraki Soul shared a few remarks on social media, expressing, “To say I’m excited about this one would be the understatement of the year! Always wanted to play at Haw Par Villa, and to open for Midlands and play with my buddy Shigeki Ito back to backs the cherry on my cake! Come in your most outrageous outfits or simply as you are, one thing is certain: the night will be nothing short of FREAKIN’ FABULOUS!”
