Artists That May Be Releasing New Music in 2024!

New year means new music! Last year, we belted out the lyrics to SZA’s ‘Kill Bill,’ ‘Paint the Town Red’ by Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire,’ ‘What Was I Made For?’ by Billie Eilish, and many more! We danced, reminisced, or even cried to music that was released in 2023. This year will bring us new music to celebrate, to use in our reels or stories on Instagram, and most importantly, to make memories and enjoy. Some artists have already teased their upcoming projects and released new singles, while others are yet to announce release dates, titles, and more information. Below are some artists that may be releasing new music in 2024!

Ariana Grande

Although Ariana Grande’s Tenth Anniversary Edition of her debut album ‘Yours Truly’ was released last year, her sixth studio album ‘Positions’ came out in 2020. The vocalist has been busy filming the film adaptation of the musical ‘Wicked,’ alongside actress and singer Cynthia Erivo, ‘Bridgerton’ star Johnathan Bailey, Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh, and Ethan Slater, among others. In the meantime, Grande hasn’t released any new music. However, Ariana fans are definitely in for a treat in 2024! She recently shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, teasing studio sessions with producer Ilya Salmanzadeh.

The last slide of the carousel includes a video of a person who states it is “almost the last day of this album.” Ariana responds, saying, “I’m tired. But so happy and grateful. I also feel like I weigh 3,000 tons.” ‘7 Rings,’ ‘Thank U Next,’ ‘Positions,’ ‘Into You,’ ‘No Tears Left To Cry,’ ‘Breathin’’ are among her hits. Let’s see what more surprises are in store for fans of Ariana in 2024!

Dua Lipa

There has been no stopping Dua Lipa ever since she decided to blow our minds with her single ‘Blow Your Mind (Mwah)’ back in 2017. Since then, she has taken over our playlists, clubs, and parties with tracks like ‘New Rules,’ ‘IDGAF,’ ‘Don’t Start Now,’ ‘Levitating,’ ‘Dance The Night,’ and her latest offering, ‘Houdini,’ which serves as the lead single for her upcoming highly-anticipated third studio album.

“The album is different—it’s still pop, but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme,” she shared about the forthcoming record. She told T Magazine that this album would be “more personal” than her previous record. Her sophomore album ‘Future Nostalgia’ was a massive success and was even nominated for Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys in 2021. In 2024, the singer is up for the Song Of The Year and Best Song Written For Visual Media at the Grammy’s for ‘Dance The Night [From “Barbie The Album”].’

Over the years, Dua has worked with many artists, featured on their tracks, and churned out collaborative hits like ‘Sweetest Pie’ with Megan Thee Stallion, ‘Scared to Be Lonely’ with Martin Garrix, ‘No Lie’ with Sean Paul, ‘Cold Heart’ with Elton John, and ‘One Kiss’ with Calvin Harris. Dua is yet to announce the release date and title of her third studio album or confirm any new collaborations on the upcoming record.

Frank Ocean

We need a new Frank Ocean album in 2024, STAT! Although there hasn’t been any update about a new Frank Ocean record dropping anytime soon, we are hoping we at least get a new track or single from the ‘Lost’ singer. He headlined Coachella in 2023, where he hinted he was working on a new album. “I want to talk about why I’m here because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because—not that there’s not a new album, but there’s not right now. Chill, chill, chill. No, it’s not right now,” Frank teased.

Christopher Francis Ocean AKA Frank Ocean’s previous album ‘Blonde’ came out in 2016, featuring tracks including ‘Ivy,’ ‘Pink + White,’ ‘White Ferrari,’ and ‘Nikes,’ while his iconic debut album ‘channel ORANGE’ was released in 2012. Frank Ocean has solidified himself as one of the finest artists in music. His latest musical offerings are ‘Dear April (Side A – Acoustic)’ and ‘Cayendo (Side A – Acoustic),’ which were rolled out in 2020. Here’s to hoping Ocean announces new music and preferably a new album soon!

Billie Eilish

Who isn’t ready for a new Billie Eilish album? It is no surprise that Billie Eilish is bound to deliver a heart-wrenching track or a notable song when she releases a new album. Her previous records ‘WHEN WE FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?’ (2019), and ‘Happier Than Ever’ (2021) are a testament to that. So, of course, you’d be delighted to know that new music is on the way

“There is lots of music coming,” the ‘Happier Than Ever’ singer revealed in an interview with The Cookout. “There is a whole album of music coming. We’re in the final stages of making it, so that doesn’t mean it’s about to come out, but it is getting there and it’s very exciting.” The singer didn’t confirm whether she would begin rolling out new music this year, but we have our fingers crossed in anticipation.

In 2022, Billie shared a surprise EP ‘Guitar Songs’ comprising tracks ‘TV’ and ‘The 30th.’ Then came a short cover of Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ titled ‘hotline (edit)’ last year, before she released the tearjerker ‘What Was I Made For’ in July.

ZAYN

Zayn is currently working on his fourth studio album, but he has yet to reveal the release date. The singer released ‘Love Like This’ last year and is also working on writing and recording new music for the animated feature ‘10 Lives’ alongside ‘Bridgerton star Simone Ashley. Both Malik and Ashley will be voicing characters for the film and performing a duet. The film is slated to release in 2024, which means Zayn fans can also expect new music from the former One Direction star.

“I always enjoy my time in the studio creating from my perspective. While creating music for ’10 Lives,’ I was able to immerse myself in a narrative that I hadn’t dictated and able to bring the characters’ emotions into the music rather than my own,” ZAYN shared in a statement. “I really enjoyed writing specifically to bring them all to life. It’s a film that’s not only fun to watch but has a very beautiful sentiment for people of all ages. I hope people love it, and the music we created really connects and transports them deeper into the ’10 Lives’ world.”

The singer boasts three albums under his sleeve – his debut record ‘Mind of Mine’ (2016), ‘Icarus Falls’ (2018), and the latest, ‘Nobody Is Listening’ (2021). The singer has dished out notable tracks like ‘PILLOWTALK,’ ‘Still Got Time’ with PARTYNEXTDOOR, ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ featuring Sia, and ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ with Taylor Swift.

Tyla

Tyla is all set to release her eponymous album ‘Tyla’ this March! The South African singer rose to fame after enthralling listeners with her 2023 single ‘Water.’ “What I like is mixing [amapiano beats]with pop and R&B and ‘Water’ is exactly that. You’ll find that vibe in most everything I do but I’m definitely experimenting a bit [for the new record]but it all sounds like me — the music and production styles I enjoy, especially the music I heard growing up. Now, I can’t wait to properly introduce myself,” the singer said.

“Every weekend I was in the studio recording music, trying all different types of things, from rap to straight pop music, to R&B, dance music, everything,” she explained about experimenting with her sound. The singer has also shared a Travis Scott remix of ‘Water’ along with the tracks ‘Truth or Dare,’ ‘Butterflies,’ and ‘On and On,’ as part of her forthcoming album. Tyla has also bagged a Best African Music Performance Grammy nod for ‘Water,’ competing for the award alongside artists Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, Musa Keys, Olamide, and Davido.

FLO

“We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store for 2024!” FLO said in their Spotify Wrapped Artist messages, which means new music is on the way! FLO won the hearts of many with their viral hit ‘Cardboard Box’ back in 2022. Since then, they have churned out amazing tunes for fans, including ‘Fly Girl’ featuring Missy Elliott and remixing Stormzy’s track ‘Hide & Seek.’ The British R&B girl group rolled out their second EP ‘3 of Us,’ consisting of the tracks ‘Control Freak,’ ‘Change,’ ‘3 of Us,’ and ‘Suite Life (Familiar) [Feat. Bellah] – Bonus Track’ in July. Keep your eyes peeled for any news or further information on their Instagram. Maybe their debut album is in the process of being made!

Kali Uchis

Kali Uchis is all set to release her new album next week! Titled ‘Orquídeas,’ the Spanish language record is scheduled for a January 12 release. “The orchid is the national flower of Colombia, and we have more species of orchid than anywhere on earth. I always felt distinctly intrigued and magnetized by the flower. This album is inspired by the timeless, eerie, mystic, striking, graceful and sensual allure of the orchid,” the singer said in a statement as per Variety. Kali’s latest album ‘Red Moon in Venus’ was released in 2023, which also included the hit track, ‘Moonlight.’

Charlie Puth

Charlie Puth is gearing up to release his new album. The follow-up to his third studio album ‘Charlie’ (2022) could include the 2023 single ‘Lipstick.’ The ‘Attention’ singer also joined forces with BTS’ Jungkook for the track ‘Left and Right’ on the album, which peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and racked up over 850 million streams on Spotify. ‘Charlie,’ a twelve-track record, also includes the tracks ‘Light Switch,’ ‘No More Drama,’ and ‘Smells Like Me.’

Charlie Puth – Lipstick

Camila Cabello

Camila Cabello is among the artists teasing that new music is coming soon! She posted a picture of herself in the recording booth and wrote “Mostly the year of this. See you next year bitches,” via Instagram. If a new album is on the way, it would be her fourth studio album! Cabello released her third studio album ‘Familia’ in 2022. After a long legal battle with Dr. Luke, Kesha has departed from his record label Kemosabe Records, and is ready to deliver new music! The Los Angeles-born singer-songwriter held up a cardboard sign with a handwritten text that read “NEW MUSIC COMING SOON” in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven. ‘TikTok’ and ‘Die Young’ are among Kesha’s biggest songs. Soon, Kesha will be back to touch our hearts and blow our mind. Her final album with Kemosabe, ‘Gag Order,’ featuring the tracks ‘Living In My Head,’ ‘Too Far Gone,’ and ‘Eat The Acid’ was released in May 2023.
