Loopy Announces Show in Auckland for M.A.R.N.I. Tour 2024

Clamped by Veneration Group and None Entertainment, South Korean rap sensation Loopy plasters his brand of hip-hop/rap and K-hip-hop to Kiwi shores this July! Loopy’s solitary performance in New Zealand is scheduled to take place at the Illusion Club in Auckland on July 3, 2024. Get your tickets to Loopy’s show in Auckland from The Ticket Fairy.

Lee Jin-yong, best known as Loopy, rose to prominence with his mixtape ‘King Loopy.’ He was also the first runner-up in the 2017 Korean rap competition television series “Show Me The Money.” Now two albums and a streak of chart-topping singles later, the ‘Gear 2‘ fame is set to mesmerize Kiwi audiences with music from his steadfast resume and newly released record ‘MARNI’, which boasts tracks ‘MOVING,’ ‘COLD AVE.,’ and ‘BEAT THE CASE.’

The local Kiwi music scene can look to chime in some flair to his forthcoming works. In an interview with View Of The Arts, when questioned about his source of inspiration, Loopy responded, “It’s my day-to-day experience and dealings that inspire me to make music. I can say I am sensitive to my surrounding environment, so each time I visit a new country, I get new feelings and new ideas for my upcoming music.”

Flanking Loopy at the gig is a strong line-up of musicians, including hip-hop acts and DJs on support duties, and a visual display. Rappers Young Maac, Misha, and Sauce40 all make appearances, while deck magicians Dani, DJ Zeroz and Ryder up the ante on the bill for the show.

Young Maac makes his way to the showcase of fusion of rhythm, rhyme, and raw energy on the back of his latest single release ‘Swag On,’ (June 2024), while Misha flared out ‘Bimbo‘ in May 2024.

Initially, this tour – dubbed M.A.R. N.I. Tour after his 2024 album ‘MARNI,’ had Loopy greet fans in Australia across four shows before heading to New Zealand. The Australian leg of the tour was later canceled.
