After twelve years of capturing the essence of underground club culture at some of his favorite music venues around the world, John Digweed is preparing to release the final installment of his renowned ‘Live In’ series.
The thirteenth and last edition of the storied series, ‘Live In: Stereo,’ marks the end of an era for the much-loved idea, culminating in a magnificent recording of John’s unforgettable 10-hour marathon show from the legendary Montreal nightclub.
Reflecting on the momentous finale, John Digweed said, “So here we are. After 12 years, this will be the last part of the ‘Live In’ series. It’s been an incredible experience to showcase the live essence of my sets at some of the best clubs and parties in the world. I’m grateful to the fans who appreciate the art of DJing and have supported me throughout this journey.”
The ‘Live In’ series, which kicked off in 2012 with ‘Live In: Cordoba,’ has evolved into a significant passion project for the Bedrock label boss throughout the last twelve years. Every installment has provided a unique and personal insight into one of Digweed’s most valued live performances, highlighting his talent for crafting deeply engaging musical experiences that go beyond the ordinary DJ set.
The series has meticulously captured the transformation of underground electronic music over the last ten years, establishing a standard for live recordings within the genre and making a lasting impression on fans, colleagues, and emerging artists alike. The series has established Digweed as a leading and highly regarded figure in the realm of electronic music, thanks to its extensive global influence.
‘Live In: Stereo’ is a fitting finale, recorded at a venue that Digweed considers a second home. Stereo Montreal, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is renowned for its unparalleled sound system, sprung wooden dance floor and the dedication of its clued-up crowd.
Released on October 18, ‘Live In: Stereo’ will be available to stream online and purchase on CD and Vinyl.
