Fox in the Garden Signal Debut Album With New Single, ‘Knees’

Indie staple Fox in the Garden announces the coming of their debut record ‘Doom in Bloom’ with the release of their newest single, ‘Knees.’

”Knees’ is about taking a leap of faith,” conveyed frontman and guitarist Soutrik Chakraborty, best known as Zico. Released on February 28, 2025, the song describes an account of a person ready for the next phase in their relationship but also touches upon the inherent vulnerabilities of asking that special question.

‘Knees’ upholds the Mumbai-based band’s signature indie/surf-rock motif, opening with a breezy melody assembled with easy-going guitar picks and airy drum patterns. The composition is marked with polished work on the synths, dreamy upbeat rhythms, snappy guitar strokers, and Zico’s mellow singing.

Stitched into the music are backing vocals from singers Neel Adhikari and Karshni Nair, who season the tune with a soothing and pacifying touch against the song’s nail-biting theme.

“We wanted to capture the apprehension that comes with taking the plunge, the little things that matter, and equally the little niggles that don’t,” elaborated Zico. “Knees is about taking a leap of faith.”

Fox in the Garden are Soutrik ‘Zico’ Chakraborty, Shalom Benjamin, Utkarsh Jaiswa, Satyajit Chatterji, and Suyash Medh.
