One of Latin America’s most successful musical duos, Tom & Collins, looks to raise the temperature at the tropical getaway with a buffet of their house, tech-house, Latin, and Afro rhythms. The festival regulars will have company at Majahuitas in the form of Mexican DJ and producer Soloiist and Paris-born, Montreal-bred artist Max Mignot on support duties. Soloiist made his EDC Mexico debut at the Buho stage in February 2025, and he is slotted for gigs at Majahuitas, Aeterna x Space Gate, and Diente de Leon in March.
They head to Puerto Vallarta as part of a lengthy run of shows this year spanning Tulum, Paris, New York, Madrid, Los Angeles, Algarve, Orlando, Rosarito, Miami and more.
Tom & Collins, whose real names are Juan Pable Escuder and Jorge Corral, also founded their music label called Terms & Conditions in 2020, which was built to promote upcoming talent and shape the future of dance music.
Talking about their journey to becoming mainstays in the scene and challenges on the way with media outlet IEDM, Escuder stated, “Starting a tech house scene in Mexico City was one of the toughest challenges because at the time there weren’t many festivals or clubs that promoted that type of music. Most clubs were open-formats with the DJ booth located far from the dance floor. We had to convince the club owners to put the DJ booths in the main area, as well as ask that attendees refrain from requesting songs. This was clubbers can really enjoy the sound and style that the DJ is embodying.”
“We battled with this for the first couple of years, but once we finally committed to a sound, people began to identify us for our tech-house style. Over time, it became easier to get booked for venues and play for audiences that prefer our sound over a DJ just playing top hits.”
