The community-driven party on a hill, Chalfest, returns to the lush France Lynch Pleasure Ground for two days of live music, workshops, family-themed activities, and so much more. This July 18 and 19, Chalfest brings together over fifty artists sprawled across three music stages and also serves up stand-up comedy sessions, workshops, food trucks, bars, a market area, and a hive of activities for kids, circus skills, a photo booth, etc. Tickets to Chalfest 2025 are brought to you by Ticket Fairy.

An eclectic mix of artists, ranging from the headliner psychedelic rock band Kula Shaker, folk music group Fisherman’s Friends, R&B/pop artist Ozma, veteran producer Judge Jules, acoustic trio Thrill Collins, drum & bass act 145AYWON, electronic future-dub duo Omega Nebula, and samba drumming crew Simbora, are poised to splash distinct flavors of music across the venue.

Crossing each setup, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Lisa Unique, Tripwire, and Judge Jules take to the main stage on Friday, July 18. NoFlipe, Rain City Project, and Bob Porter light up Graham’s Stage, while the Upstage bears acts J Bookey, T-Lex, Scuffed, and Anton.

On Saturday, July 19, the main stage pins DJ MG, Dick & Dom (festival regulars), Toby Lee, and tribute band The Amy Winehouse Experience. Man Like Bro, KlumzyKhemist, The Scribes, and Dub Catalyst (making their festival debut) stack up on the Upstage. Graham Stage enlists Albino Tarantino, James Oliver, Das Gruve, and Echo.

The laugh riots swell with comedians Erich McElroy, James Cook, Jon Pearson, Samantha Day, Alistair Barrie, and Rich Wilson, to name a few, who are lodged at the Crazy Bird Comedy Tent. Over at Aubrey’s Village Green, Chalford Community Orchestra and Choir, Third Cousin, Ballyhoo (dance and theater), Ambitions (dance and drama), and Le Swing are set to deliver captivating performances.

Not leaving the young ones behind, the Kids Tent pipes out interactive offerings such as a magic and puppet show hosted by Colin Dymond, Adventure Team’s superhero role-playing, Chalfest favorite Silly
Science and a play circle. Attendees can also try their hand at crafty workshops, which include tote bag printing, mosaic art, macrame threadwork, headdress styling, and bookbinding sessions.

As with previous year editions, Chalfest 2025 prides itself on promoting an experience that is as eco-friendly as possible. Festival goers are encouraged to carry along their beverage mugs, food tubs, and cutlery. On-site waste bins will be clearly marked for food waste, dry garbage, and other waste items.

After towering appearances at festivals like Boomtown, Into The Woods, Lindisfarne Festival and being billed alongside DnB royalty A.M.C, Metrik, and Fabio & Grooverider, producer KlumzyKhemist makes her Chalfest festival debut this month.

We had checked in with KlumzyKhemist to gather her thoughts on Chalfest. Enthusiastically she tells us, “I am really honoured to be performing at Chalfest this year. I haven’t been before, and the previous years have looked incredible, so I am really excited to be a part of this year’s lineup!”

Chatting about her upcoming set (Saturday, July 19 – Upstage, 4 PM onwards), KlumzyKhemist points to her “love for the entire spectrum of drum and bass” and discloses, “A KlumzyKhemist set is always filled with a variety of subgenres from jungle to dancefloor to neuro to footwork to 4/4 Techno and everything in between.”

The producer has tenaciously crafted a revolving door of genres for everyone at her festival debut, as she elaborated, “I love keeping people on their toes, and this also means that if one style isn’t for someone, it’s not long before they can hear a style they do like, so I like a KlumzyKhemist set to be for everyone!”

Additionally, KlumzyKhemist explained the type of atmosphere her performance would have, separating her appearances at clubs and festivals. She explained, “For festival sets as opposed to club shows, I always want to include the major festival anthems that people know and love, mixed with introducing people to new music they haven’t heard before, and putting in all of my favorite blends of the year, so at festivals I really pull out all the stops!”
