On Saturday, July 19, 2025, techno queen Charlotte de Witte logs another entry into the EDM history books, as she will be the first artist to play Tomorrowland-Belgium twice in one day. The DJ/producer was also the first techno and female act to close the Mainstage in 2022.
“Back in 2011, after winning a DJ contest, I had the chance to open the Mainstage of Tomorrowland. It basically changed my life. In 2022, three years ago, I was the first techno and female act to close the same Mainstage,” de Witte stated via social media.
“Fast forward to this year – 2025 – I will be closing the Mainstage, and I will also be opening the Mainstage on the same day to have a very full circle all round 360 approach to the whole day. I really look forward to seeing everyone at the Mainstage twice this year.”
Tomorrowland will mark the 19th edition of the festival this year and is built around the theme of ‘Orbyz,’ billed as “a magical universe created entirely out of ice.” The festival will take place at its usual nesting ground of Boom in Belgium across two weekends from July 18 to 20 and July 25 to 27.
Its full line-up puffs out over 600 artists across 16 stages. Acts scheduled to perform also include Armin van Buuren, Alok, Amelie Lens, Martin Garrix, Anyma, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Fisher, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, and the Symphony of Unity.
It is worth noting that Charlotte de Witte is not the only female artist booked to perform twice at this year’s festival. Progressive house and melodic techno DJ/producer from Ukraine, Miss Monique, will light up the mainstage on Saturday, July 19, and will be back at The Freedom Stage on July 27.
Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia will perform twice, once on the Mainstage and the other as a back-to-back-to-back set at the intimate Crystal Garden stage. Solomun is also scheduled to perform three times – at Mainstage during the first weekend, with Anyma for an unforgettable back-to-back set at the Crystal Garden stage, and an audiovisual showcase at the Freedom Stage.
