After eighteen years of owning the scene in Goa, Sunburn is marking new territory in Mumbai, kicking off this journey with the announcement of David Guetta as the festival’s first headlining artist.
The Grammy-winning DJ and EDM powerhouse returns to India after an eight-year gap. David Guetta last performed in the country in 2017, where he played two shows on the same day: an afternoon session in Mumbai followed by a late evening set in Delhi.
This forthcoming performance from Guetta ups the ante as he brings along his massive “The Monolith” production to the festival. This towering setup pulls inspiration from the 1968 sci-fi classic “2001: A Space Odyssey” and blends hypnotic lights, his signature sound, blazing pyro, and jaw-dropping visuals to create a full-blown multi-sensory experience.
Guetta’s The Monolith production was first seen in the desert of AlUla, Saudi Arabia, in March 2024 and has since stamped its presence in the US, Istanbul, Germany, Mexico, and his home country of France twice thus far.
