On the first weekend of January, Tulum’s rustic beachside hideaway, Ahau Tulum, opens its doors to Afrodise, a celebrated Afro house experience unlike any other. Party-goers continuing their New Year’s celebrations are invited to Ahau Tulum, as it hosts an exuberant showcase of steamy Afro house rhythms accented with hues of world music on Saturday, January 3, 2025. Tickets to Ahau Tulum presents Afrodise 2026 are currently available via Ticket Fairy.
Leading the line-up for the Ahau takeover is the founder of the globally recognized Afrodise Record Label, Aaron Sevilla. The Mexican DJ and producer is known for his pulsating, percussive, and tribal-inspired sound. A master of deep Afro house grooves, Sevilla is primed to deliver a dynamic and immersive session set that embodies the essence of his label.
En route to Tulum, Aaron Sevilla’s packed touring schedule takes him to Singapore, Thailand, India, Cyprus, Romania, and Spain.
Dubai-based DJ and production trio ARKADYAN, famed for their high-energy live performances swirled with tapping percussion and upbeat brass sections, joins the line-up. Comprised of musicians Gabriel, Benji, and Marina, ARKADYAN floods dance floors with an engaging mix of organic house music ingrained with classical, reggae, and jazz influences.
Also plastered on the card is Mijangos, who brings over 25 years of experience as a DJ/producer and stands among the leading figures in the Latin house scene. His tracks have appeared on prestigious labels worldwide, including Aquaboogie, Ministry of Sound, and Subliminal Records. Afro House loyalists Tatiana, duo Mutt and Dee, and Aaron Reynoso round out the bill for the event.
Local hotshot Aaron Reynoso, who glides through Afro house, indie, tech house, and melodic house, said he was “so happy to play at Afrodise” on social media and called it “the best Afro house party in the world among top worldwide artists.”
Doors to Afrodise 2026 open at 6 PM with the party running until 1 AM, and attendees are asked to follow a “Tulum Neutral Color Chic Attire” dress code to set the tone for the night.
