Dance music artists have bagged multiple placements on the BRIT Awards 2026 nomination list. EDM star Calvin Harris and singer-songwriter Clementine Douglas’s ‘Blessings’ is up for Song of the Year, along with ‘Victory Lap’ by Fred Again, American streamer and producer PlaqueBoyMax, and British rapper and grime MC Skepta, and ‘The Days (NOTION REMIX)’ by CHRYSTAL and NOTION.
American DJ/producer, musician and songwriter Disco Lines & Tinashe’s ‘No Broke Boys’ has received the International Song of the Year nod, while Tame Impala is among the International Group of the Year nominees. Scottish electronic music producer and DJ Barry Can’t Swim has been recognized as the Breakthrough Artist nominee, along with rapper and singer Jim Legxacy, Lola Young, London’s singer-songwriter Skye Newman, and rapper EsDeeKid.
The Best Dance/Electronic Album winner at the 2026 Grammy Awards (for her record ‘Eusexua’), FKA Twigs, will be competing for the Dance Act BRIT Award with Fred again.., Skepta, PlaqueBoyMax, London-born Sammy Virji, Calvin Harris & Clementine Douglas, and PinkPantheress.
PinkPantheress and Fred Again are also up for the coveted Artist of the Year prize, with nominees British rapper Dave, Little Mix’s JADE, 2025 Mercury Prize winner Sam Fender, rapper Little Simz, Olivia Dean, Rotherham-born musician Self Esteem, Lola Young, and singer-songwriter Lily Allen.
Mark Ronson, best known for producing ‘Uptown Funk’ and Amy Winehouse’s iconic album ‘Back to Black,’ will be honored with the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the BRIT Awards 2026. Lola Young joins Olivia Dean, the ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2026 Grammy Awards, to lead the pack of nominees with five nominations apiece this year.
