The decibel levels only go upwards as 3D Productions and Optical Illusion are back with another World of Drum & Bass Massive rager in DC on July 26 at a flashy new indoor/outdoor locale in Washington -Bertha. Fanned across Bertha’s multi-arena layout, the upcoming show brings an evening of high-impact drum and bass action to the nation’s capital. Tickets to World of Drum & Bass Massive volume two with Sigma, Danny Byrd, and more are brought to you by Ticket Fairy.

British DJ and production duo Sigma (Cameron Edwards and Joseph Lenzie) lead the charge, ferrying their signature house and trap-infused drum & bass floor shakers. Hospital Records’ Danny Byrd jets in on the back of releasing ‘Sexy Mone,’ a spicy jungle-ragga cut with deejay General Levy. One can expect high-octane energy, pickled with his hip-hop and R&B influences, while he is at the booth.

DnB ace Bladerunner (Devan Gray), renowned for his distinctive rolling basslines, clear percussion, and rich atmospheric soundscapes, returns from the first volume. Nicaraguan-American DJ Craze (Aristh Delgado) is famed for his extraordinary turntablism abilities and mastery of merging a myriad of genres like hip-hop, Miami bass, trap, breaks, dubstep, and drum & bass into his session.

London-based Jay Faleye aka Tantrum Desire plugs powerful basslines, big synth sounds, and euphoric melodies into his set, while talisman of the underground UK music scene, INJA (Gareth Hue), crams the dancefloor with his unrelenting energy piped over pummeling drum & bass and hip-hop rhythms.

Founder of Formation Records and World of Drum & Bass DJ SS (Leroy Small), Shogun Audio duo Document One (Matt King and Joe Froud), DnB finger drummer Spinscott, and UK garage and bassline whiz DJ Q also feature. That’s not all, as DJ SS’s protégé Azpect, CPTL PNSHMNT (Stephen Zaccariello and Joseph Figueroa), and Trixx and Judge, collectively known as NRV, round out the massive line-up.

Local support arrives from DATA DRoP, Mark Taylor, Deinfamous, Sevendaysin, and JMACK. The hosting duties are entrusted to Josiah Scribes and Dvine MC.

DnB DJ JMACK shared a few words with us ahead of the show. “My upcoming set is gonna be hype! I plan on bringing high energy early on to get the crowd properly warmed up for the night ahead. I love playing both new and old bangers, and my sets are always a mixed bag of jump-up, dancefloor, and jungle. I’ll make sure everyone can get down to something, and if the ravers are happy, then I’m happy!” he shared with us about his set.

JMACK also chipped in his thoughts about World of Drum & Bass; he said, “Playing for World of Drum n Bass and 3D productions is a huge honor. They’ve been curating gnarly lineups for decades, so for them to trust in me on one of their shows means the world. It’s surreal to see my name on the flyer among so many legends; I do a double-take every time I see it.”
