Diagnostix Announces Multi-City Tour of New Zealand

London’s drum & bass connoisseur Diagnostix’s massive ongoing thirty-four-date summer tour leads him to Aotearoa for five shows this July and August! Tickets to Diagnostix’s shows in Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland are brought to you by The Ticket Fairy.

Currently on a run of shows in Europe, the ‘No Face No Case‘ fame barrages venues in New Zealand later this month, with shows penciled in for Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, New Plymouth, and Wellington as part of his New Zealand tour, before darting onto Australia and Japan.

Diagnostix carries his ravishing brand of UK drum & bass/jump-up music twanged with emphatic bass lines and wobbles to Auckland’s buzzing live events space Pointers on Friday, July 26, his first stop on the road. Attendees at this gig will revel in warm-up sets from local acts Kees (Kees Albers-Connolly), George FM’s RJ and DnB head Kenzo, Mathias ‘Taiga’ Thompson, and dual sessions from Codem with Korkaa and Ile with Expense.

The following day, July 27, will see Diagnostix flood Hamilton‘s home of electronic music – The Back Bar, with the likes of Lara Dashfield, Ava, Anton, Skyes, Wilso, Tempr, Big Ben, and K-Shae. A console-burning riot of b2b presentations is in store, as the card lists Dashfield b2b with Ava, Anton b2b Skyes, and Tempr b2b Wilso.

The rest of the jaunt sees Diagnostix take over Hide Club in Christchurch on August 2, New Plymouth’s Crowded House Bar and Eatery on August 3, and a tour-concluding performance in the nation’s capital on August 9 at Eva Pub in Wellington. Supporting acts scheduled for the show include Vindicate b2b Cottzy, Eight Oh b2b Kalo, Nos b2b Tonin hosted by HP, Yen b2b McNilla b2b Oil, and Cerberus.

Since bursting onto the scene, Diagnostix has gone on to drop his debut five-track EP ‘Gwaan Gyal’ in 2021, roping in Taiwan MC and vocalist/producer EJ Kitto, earning an opening slot at Boomtown in 2022. In 2024, he was listed as part of the hallowed Worried about Henry drum & bass spectacle in Brighton, performed at DnB Allstars in Portugal, and also made a mark at the recent Glastonbury festival.

Havord aka BIG BEN, the Hamilton-based DJ and curator of the roaring Kiwi DnB compilation commemorating NZ music month (May 2024), spoke with us ahead of the show, describing sharing the stage with Diagnostix as “a dream come true.” He further elevated it as the show takes place in his hometown and Diagnostix being an artist Ben has “looked up to for the longest time.”

He said, “Diagnostix at Back Bar is set to be one of the biggest Drum and Bass Show in Hamilton this year! I’m super excited to be able to play support for this show. I’ve got some special doubles and heavy drum and bass that I will be shelling right before Diagnostix.”

Ben also sounded out, “Massive shout-out to Sailaway for putting this fantastic show together. Also, shout out to the other support artists that will make this night incredible.”

This concert also marks the first time Pero Brophy aka Tempr fires up the console b2b with selector Callum Wilson under the alias Wilso. Speaking about their performance, Tempr conveyed to us, “Being my first opportunity to go B2B with my dear friend Wilso, expect the closing hour to be filled with some of the cleanest Neuro/Jump Up/Roller blends on the market today. Get around it, get your tickets, and let’s celebrate Drum & Bass in the only way Hamilton knows how!”

“Diagnostix is a rising star within the Drum & Bass scene globally, and with a stacked support class containing some of Hamilton’s heaviest hitters, The Back Bar is sure to blow up on the 27th!” the artist added.
