Gurgaon-based singer-songwriter Allan Martyr has racked up his sixth music release, ‘Every Day Of The Week,’ a song about love in the little moments that go a long way.
Allan Martyr weaves in bits of country, folk, and bluegrass into a delightful acoustic tune about living a countryside life with your significant other and seeing love in everyday happenings rather than a series of spectacular gestures.
Spanning just over two minutes, Allan wheels in an acoustic guitar-driven composition furnished with plucky string work and easygoing lyrics as heard on his previously released singles ‘I Don’t Want A Lot In Life’ and ‘Mend My Shoes.’ As with almost all his releases so far, Allan yet again steps away from hefty production, keeping with the basic minimalistic structure of the song.
Allan Martyr once again enlists the creative mind of writer/artist Anukriti Kandpal to design the song’s cover art, which depicts a riverfront residence on a hill with a little garden area. Anukriti has previously worked on Allan’s artwork for ‘I Don’t Want A Lot In Life,’ ‘Kaafi Hai,’ and ‘It’s Gonna Be Christmas Day.’
“‘Every Day Of The Week’ is a song that gives you an insight into the kind of love I wish for. A slow, laidback kind of love that is present in every moment and not just in gestures,” Allan told us, talking about the single. “Production-wise, I truly feel that ‘less is more’ and that’s quite evident in the song. I think that”
