Red Rum Touring’s freshest electronic dance music excursion erupts in the form of City Scape, scheduled for Anzac Eve on April 24, 2025. Auckland’s Norma Taps, known for its impeccable selections of brews, sporadic gigs, and sustainability-driven curations, will host Odd Mob, In Parallel, Fovos, and more for this city getaway bash. Australia’s tech-house and bass-house maestro Odd Mob is part of the impending City Scape showcase that is billed as “an inner city getaway, outdoors under the city lights.” Shuffling a jolt of that oomph and flair to the mix are Englishmen George Denver and Harrison Baker, recognized as the duo In Parallel. Recognized for their style of UK garage, speed garage, and electronic-infused R&B, the producers fly out to New Zealand on their debut tour of AUNZ and currently have shows listed in Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.
Away from the visiting acts, homegrown producer/DJ pair FOVOS, who rattle dancefloors with a sound that muddies the lines between techno and tech-house, are also billed for the show. They arrive on the heels of their first-ever extensive North American tour and a performance at Echostage, Washington, D.C., on April 12, 2025.
Support from UKG and hard groove fanatic ZOZO, vocalist and producer/MC Mikeyy, and local artist Danni only enhance this explosive line-up. Daani, a culinarian of house, UKG, 140, and dubstep, is penciled in for a B2B session with Mikeyy at City Scape.
We spoke with ZOZO, who has been making waves in the Kiwi dance music scene for only about five months now, steadily rising in reputation and seen supporting the likes of Pixie Lane, Levity, and IMANU. “I’m really grateful to be a part of a lineup with names so massive in the music industry! They’re all my icons; it’s a multi-genre event, which I think is so awesome to see in the scene,” conveyed ZOZO.
A regular attendee at Red Rum Events, ZOZO described being billed for this show as “a real blessing” and further elaborated, “I play UKG, hard groove, jersey club, and more, and I’ve been given full range to play whatever I want and let my creativity shine thanks to Red Rum, which is exciting to be able to introduce new sounds to people.”
“This event is going to be super special with super awesome local talent! There’s something for everyone, which is what Red Rums’ specialty is, and I can’t wait to show people what Zozo has to offer,” the artist added.
