Afro-pop maestro Fidel Shammah, aka Charisma (also referred to as Luhya Heat), gained prominence as the vocalist of the Kenyan boy group Le Band. They were known for hit singles such as ‘Leo,’ ‘Move,’ and ‘Number1’ – an Afro-soul banger that has amassed over nine million views on YouTube thus far.
Sculpting a solo identity with ‘Unavyonipenda‘ featuring Kenyan rapper Mbithi in 2019, he went on to release his first EP, ‘With Love, Charisma,’ in 2020 and dropped his debut ten-track album titled ‘THE MOTIONS‘ last year. His songs ‘Sina Noma,’ ‘Marry U Twice,’ ‘Trust Issues,’ and ‘Wivu’ have solidified his status as one of the most sought-after voices in Africa and, in turn, boosted his fan base across the globe.
Now catering to this widespread audience, Charisma comes to Australia on his maiden international tour, spread across Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney during the first week of May.
Stationed at yet-to-be-revealed venues, Charisma’s impending performances invoke an intimate setting devised for connection, good vibrations, and a chipper atmosphere.
