An eclectic mix of reggae, rock, and hip-hop plunges into Kiwi shores as Aussies Bootleg Rascal make their eagerly awaited return to New Zealand in May. The mavens behind the surf rock meets reggae themes in ‘Overflow,’ ‘Psychotica,’ and ‘Drop the Gun,’ Bootleg Rascal will arrive in Aotearoa for a four-city visit. Commencing May 15 in Auckland, the tour sees the band consecutively take over venues – The Mothership in Auckland, San Fran in Wellington, The Loons Club in Christchurch (May 17), and Yonder in Queenstown (May 18).
The Yugambeh/Gold Coast-based outfit darts to New Zealand on the heels of their freshest alternative/indie rock single, ‘From The Very Start,’ as well as a country-wide tour of Australia. This ‘Steppin’ Round The World Tour 2025′ will also see them head to Amsterdam, Hamburg, Munich, Zurich, Bristol, London and more.
Bootleg Rascal frontman Carlos Lara stated about this tour, “We’re stoked to be coming back to New Zealand! The vibe there is always incredible. We’re ready to bring the party, and we want everyone to join us!”
Mount Maunganui’s five-piece funk, indie, and rock crew – The Darlings, slot in on support duties for all four shows. This will be the first time the group will tour the entire nation.
