Guitarist and composer Sutej Singh has launched his explosive eight-track album, ‘Restless | Relentless.’ The title is indicative of his state of mind while assembling this project.
“This album is my answer to that uncertainty, my testament to resilience. It’s the sound of pushing through, of refusing to let go of dreams, no matter how much the world tries to stand still,” said Sutej via press release.
Terms like “explosive,” “intense,” “fierce,” and “powerful,” coupled with a dash of cinematic flair, seep through all of Sutej Singh’s productions over the years. His February single release, ‘Kaadambari‘ (featuring Nandini Srikar), seamlessly weaved together progressive rock themes with bellowing Indian classical singing and, in turn, assured a thrilling and captivating narrative ahead.
April 25, 2025, saw the release of ‘Restless | Relentless,’ a nearly forty-minute record, which Sutej has described as “more than just an album, it’s a rebirth.”

‘Flight in the Dark’ unfurls the album, serving as its intro, with an impeccable orchestral string arrangement and dashes of steamy guitar flows. Sutej shared, “While making it, I closed my eyes and imagined golden birds taking flight in a pitch-black space. It felt like something beautiful moving through the unknown.”
‘Bring to Light’ sits second, throwing down a medley of progressive rock and edgy synths, embellished with fantastical themes, enhanced by the vocal prowess of singer Emma Pogosova. Next up comes the title track, ‘Restless | Relentless,’ which begins with melancholic string work before quickly transitioning into a more intense electric guitar-driven arrangement paired with thunderous drumming and an orchestral score to frame a frenzied melody.
‘Mayflower’ whips out a ruthless guitar riff with wistful keys and a flurry of racing strings, slotting as a canvas for the rock composition. Thereafter, Sutej lets his magic work on the guitar sans any other instrumentation on ‘Heart of Tomorrow’ – an interlude to ‘Kaadambari.’
‘For the Lost Ones,’ a piece that honors folks loved and lost, sees its harmonious intro, first forged by the songwriter in 2012, finally attached to a song structure. About this track, the artist shared, “When I started working on this album, I knew it was time to finally give it a home. It’s one of the most personal pieces on the record, and it holds my favorite solo. It’s a moment that feels like a conversation with the past.” An instrumental rendition of ‘Kaadambari’ concludes the album.
Talking about the new release, Sutej expressed, “This album carries a different weight, a sense of urgency and purpose that I haven’t felt in a long time. I’ve always believed that albums should tell a cohesive story, a journey from start to finish, and this one truly encapsulates my own path over the past few years.”
Further delving into the title and the album’s themes, he disclosed, “The title ‘Restless | Relentless’ reflects my state of mind while creating it. These two words feel like two sides of the same coin for me. On one side, there’s the restlessness—a constant hum, a drive to push forward, an unyielding sense of impatience. On the other, there’s the relentlessness—a fierce, almost stubborn determination to see things through, no matter what.”
